Tremendous player. Our whole squad and especially Maresca could benefit from BJ.

I completely agree. I am an accomplished hack psychologist and it is my firm position that sexual release is the only thing standing between the straitjacket managers (and there are many) and winning multiple Champions' Leagues with nothing more than a raised eyebrow and a fatherly arm around the shoulder.

"The players will take time to learn my methods"

vs

"The players deserve all the credit" 🤨

Nicolas Jackson’s style of play

When he first burst onto the scene, Jackson was compared to Brazilian icon Neymar for his mazy dribbling skills and the way he carried the ball in attacking areas

Not sure about Neymar - but he got a good assist for goal 1 last night. Cracking pass from deep.

I'm still a bit pissed off about his overall attitude from last season, but if the plan is to stick Noni as LW, I'd rather we have a go with Jackson there, could maybe produce something of a partnership with Delap as he looked like doing so with Nkunku during pre-season. Madueke is definitely not a LW, just like Jackson is definitely not a proper 9.

Sunstroke ?

I am always fair and give credit where it is due.

We will add this to this seasons list.

  • good game against west ham

  • good 10 mins against Leicester

  • 2 good runs against Newcastle.

  • good winning goal against some team I forget

  • good pass last night for the opener.

Nico will miss first 3 Premier League games start of next season. Pretty much the worst possible situation for him. Delap beds in the side at CWC and he most probably starts all 3 games if we don't buy another striker on top of Liam. That might mean Jackson plays a bit part role deep into the year. His own doing of course but not a great situation to be in.

Great for us however.... biggest boost to the team sheet we could hope for.

Nico is a good player but this is down to him. I really hope this added competition makes him concentrate on staying on side and being composed in scoring situations.

Not sure how missing a key player is good for the team....

Is that right? I thought it was a three game suspension and he's already missed two.

Simple. Delap plays instead and Delap is a proper striker.

I don't know how the mind works, but I struggle to see how by having competition can help fix those issues. I can imagine it increasing motivation to get that bit fitter, work a bit harder, chase down lost causes maybe. But if having competition is what it takes for you to stop being regularly offside and slicing chances etc, then I'd have to ask why you persisted doing that just because you appear to have felt you didn't need to try because you're place was guaranteed.

And from what I've seen, my money is more on sulking and hissy fits if he isn't automatic first choice. Time will tell.

A bit related to this. AFCON is on again.

Sincerely hope Senegal get all the way to the Final.

For Chelsea’s sake.

I'd rather have Jackson available to keep Delap on his toes.

Surely a misspelling.

Neigh-mar perhaps
