Nicolas Jackson - striker

I don't think we should get rid of him, he's a good back up/impact sub, but if we have serious plans to challenge for the title we need a top class striker.

The only times we've won the Prem we had either Didier Drogba or Diego Costa up front, that's not a coincidence.

Jose Mourinho said Osimhen is on a similar level to Drogba, and he's the one who identified Drogba in the first place

Mourinho makes Osimhen-Drogba comparison, cup king Kelech...

How African stars fared in European football this past weekend.

He's really neither of those things. Can never recall him making an impact from the bench.

I would take whatever we can for him and start next season with a stronger, more reliable strike force.

How on Gods Green Earth is this braindead moron leading the line for us in a European Final. 1.5B spent and our goalscoring hopes rest on a player not fit to lace Fabio Borini’s boots.

I hate the bloke for being so talentless and entitled.

I hate Maresca for starting him after he let not only himself but the whole side down with his petulance.

And I hate Eghbali for not letting Super Todd run the whole show and instead crippling us with oxygen thieves like Jackson.

For me it just shows a complete lack of respect for the rest of the squad that he can get the stupidest red card in such an important run in and the rest of the squad rescue CL football and there is clearly no punishment for Jackson. Straight back into the XI for our biggest game, he should have been left out of the squad completely, we should be good enough to beat f**king Betis without him.

Guiu would be a bit rusty after injury but still reckon he should be starting instead!

I don't get why we wouldn't play Neto up top with either Sancho or George on the wing, George has been great this tournament. Him and Acheampong must feel hard done by.

Last night summed up everything that winds me up about the c**t faced donkey in one neat, frustrating package.

He was anonymous for most of the game – completely missing when we needed someone to lead the line. Then, out of nowhere, the ball hits his left tit and rolls in… courtesy of Palmer putting it on a plate for him. Went for a header, and grazed in of his tit. Hapless.

Then he goes and misses the easiest, clearest chance of the entire night – a proper sitter that any half-decent player would’ve buried or passed for an easy assist. And after that? Instead of showing a bit of humility, he makes a complete twat of himself celebrating like he’d just won us the World Cup. Soaks the manager like a 12-year-old at a water fight and rocks up in that ridiculous hat like he’s doing a fancy dress run at the London Marathon. He didnt even have the good grace to wait for Reece to collect the cup. First (only?) Chelsea player to go up, touch it, kiss it – like it was his moment. Zero awareness. Zero class - both on and off the pitch.

This is what Jackson is all about. He tricked the keeper, thinking he was going for a header but no, he decided to bump it in with his chest. His finishing is sublime and unpredictable.

You never know how Nico Jackson is going to shoot and that’s why he’s unstoppable sometimes.

So

After he messed up the 1v1 he had to go off injured

Final whistle jumping around like a kid obviously nothing wrong with him !!

Bluffing so he could blame so called injury for missing the chance.

Guys a w**ker

You know this for a fact? Couldn't have just been a knock that got better later on? Or he was taken off as a precaution?

He’s atrocious and if he’s even on the bench for us next season the SD’s have got this summer all wrong.

There isn’t an ounce of a competent footballer there.

How not to head a ball. There isn't a single thing he has got right in that photo. It's like he is terrified the ball is going to hit him in the face.

This is what happens when there's a defender in front of you blocking the view of the ball and the ball is also coming in at pace.

Plenty of strikers have done this, even Haaland. Really bizarre how he's scored the crucial goal for us in a final and people are still complaining about the goal. By all means complain about the 1v1 but not this.

As the photo clearly shows, the pass from Palmer was good, but a little low, and little too close to him. Look at his body shape he's clearly trying to get his head to it, but due to being too close too low and too fast, he can't. Put simply it hit him. Yes the pass was good, but not the worldie that everyone seems to think, it wasn't on a plate as many seem to think. At least he made the run for Palmer to spot as he said post match, give him some dues he made the opportunity by being there. Occasionally he does do some things right. And as Jim would say it was a meaningfull goal, it was the winner, not the icing on the cake.

What makes that 1v1 even worse, is that he could’ve simply laid it off to Sancho, as their keeper was on that side of the box expecting Jackson to take it on!

The way I see it is that he got caught between two minds (like he often does) and when he considered that pass he f**ked up his run. Those 10 minutes between his goal and that 1v1 sums up Jackson.

It is a bit low but that wouldn't be an issue if he sees the path of the ball clearly as he would be able to readjust. The defender is slightly ahead of him which blocks his view, he just gambles and makes a run there in the hope he can get any sort of touch on it.

I would expect people to be praising him for making that run in the first place as his movement in the box is usually a weakness of his instead of complaining about a goal.
