Disasi wasn't a bad signing, we only had two fit CB at the start of that season, 500 years old silva and 21 years old Colwil. We didn't even have dm/fb who could play as emergency cb as all of them were short.

40M for a 15M CB is a bad signing

Good for him. Hope West Ham can buy him from us for 40M

Given West Ham have just announced that they will need to sell players in the summer, having just announced a large loss of £104.2m for 24/25, I think it is unlikely they'll be in a position to sign Disasi permanently, even if they wanted to ...

Comon', If West Ham get more clean sheets, we'll be dropping another 30 million to recall him early from his loan. I salute this board and give them my unequivocal support to get this deal done.

Would be wise. Can't have Tottenham getting relegated and missing out on those 6 points every season

Tosin is the one they'll want in my opinion.

Since his move, been one of the stand out defenders in the league, 4 clean sheets in 8? Helped move West Ham out of the relegation zone.

Now, is it the players or the systems?

Or those making the decisions.

I attribute it to Disasi belongs there.

If you want your cb to just defend the box, Disasi is very good. He was one of our best box defender.

But the way we defend is more of man to man. You need different profile defender.

Why do we do this? Honestly?

It’s a classic case of a new manager bounce (one that’s actually competent) and a team desperate to escape relegation.

Disasi and ‘standout defender’ should never, under any circumstance, be used in the same sentence.

I think Disasi is an ok defender, we never got the best out of him, West Ham clearly are.

Hes not the first player to do better at other clubs. Our structure of SDs and token managers doesnt help.

He strikes me as one of the many centre-backs who are fine if they don't have to defend space behind them. Under Nuno it's not like he has to worry about being cute in possession, and nobody's beating him in a physical battle.

'West Ham way' my arse

Some players are not bad players. They just have a level and a system that suits them.

Someone like James Tarkowski is a decent enough example. Solid defender for a certain type of Premier League side. Mid-to-lower table, low block, lots of defending in and around the box, clear responsibilities, no need to play on the front foot for long stretches.

For me, Axel Disasi falls into that category.

He is not a top-level defender for a side that wants to dominate games, hold a higher line, defend big spaces and stay calm in possession under pressure. But put him in a deeper setup, where the game is in front of him and the demands are simpler, and he looks far more comfortable.

That is not an insult. It just means not every player is built for every level. From our current team, I would also put Trev and Tosin in that bracket.

Being reported that he is the subject of a £25m offer from WHU. He is said to be on £80k a week or £4m Pa

Current book value , well there are two.

UEFA restricted the period of amortisation before he signed and PL after.

Cost €45m or £38.36m

UEFA value £15.4m .

The PL value £19.34m which is also the value in the accounts.

If we get £25m add to that the €8 m (£6.8m) we are said to have pocket for his two loans. Purely in terms of his fee loss circa £6.5 m

His SCR cost , again there are two UEFA £ £11.65m and PL £10.39m. Thats circa 2% of our total squad cost spend . We are looking to cut around 10%

So errrrmm, he'll go, right?

I think his loan at West Ham did him good and if there is a bid of £25m from them that’s great news, might get £30m from Leeds or Palace.

I think there will be enough interest in him for us to shift a lot easier than Badi or Fofana.
