July 24, 20232 yr I'm not as big of a fan as others. His build up play is decent, but his end product is dogsh*t.

Well, that's something to work with for Pochettino though. He's young and lives in - and comes from - London. Knows our club from his time in our academy. His brother, Richard, also plays for us. Most personal factors would be ideal and path the way for an easy transition. 2G//11A in 37 games in his first PL season is a decent output. He seems to have a sharp left foot; brilliant technique. That's needed as most of our players can't seem to find players with a cross even if their life depended on it. I'd really love this deal. My only worry is the hamstring injury he suffered during the U21 EC. It's hard to know when he'll be ready - but it'll likely take at least two months from now. When he returns, will he be affected by the injury? These type of injuries usually affect acceleration and sprinting, but as technology constantly improves it could be that the rehabilitation will be better as well. With Olise it's a chance I'd take for sure. Edited July 24, 20232 yr by Hanzen
July 24, 20232 yr Apparently this is a done deal. Bienvenu! It says his younger brother is already a part of our academy too...

July 24, 20232 yr 100% With This If It Means Sterling Moves On, Will Be Interesting With Who Starts Though With Mudryk, Noni And Olise If We Do The Deal

If Ângelo goes on loan we'll have four wingers in total inluding Olise. Probably Mudryk/Sterling on the left and Olise/Madueke on the right. One can only hope that a sneaky Saudi offer will come in for Sterling though.
July 24, 20232 yr Several reports last season that he had an attitude problem, prone to fits of the sulks. Might or might not be the case, might or might not be down to his non-selection at various times.

Always remember reading he was one of the most naturally gifted players we had but his attitude was pretty bad. If Pochettino can get Alli's attitude right, i'm sure he can with Olise too.

A lot of great players have had attitude.
July 24, 20232 yr Rather surprised about this, yes he has talent yet is still a bit hit and miss. Also a Palace fans favourite. I thought we were quite well stocked in attacking positions or is Pochettino looking to make more changes?

Cherki is way behind in development and Olise is PL exp. I'd say Cherki could have a higher ceiling, but you never know of he'll get there

July 24, 20232 yr Olise looked good last season, remember thinking he was decent when i watched palace once or twice.

July 24, 20232 yr So what does this mean for Angelo? Surely he will go on loan but when he comes back he will still find 2 players ahead of him at RW?

Even if we are sending him on loan there needs to be some pathway. Stockpiling was my biggest concern, and the message it brings to players who so far have done well in preseason.

Olise is comfortable playing in the 10. Either that or we have 3 fantastic talents and can get a £70m transfer for one of the players, when the 3 collectively cost that.

I'd rather Kudus for the simple fact he's predominantly a CAM who can play RW. With Olise it's the other way around.
