I miss, in every Champions League knockout round, having to explain to a surprising number of people in the pub how away goals work.

The abolishment of the away goal rule is detrimental to social cohesion. I miss it too.

The Daily Mail is akin to a fascist comic book for the hard-of-thinking. From a sporting perspective the article offers almost zero insight. Here's the salient part so people don't have to go to that cesspit of a website:

Interestingly, he really doesn’t do any tactical work (in training),' he said,

'What he does is, every single training drill from Monday to Friday is drawn up to represent the way that he wants to play.

'Conte, I could do it blind, but that was a lot of tactical work Monday to Friday, a lot of ten versus zero, walkthroughs.

'You were so well drilled, it would be engrained in you.'

Remember when Chelsea supporters moaned about Christensen. If only they knew then that we had Badiashille and Disasi to come!!

Doh !

What we'd give for Christensen/Rudiger at the back right now ... mind you, Barca seem to playing Andreas mostly in midfield. Probably a better option for us there as well LOL

Christensen is better than what we've got, but the one that really hurts is Rudi - he had Haaland in his pocket the other night.

What dier said is actually very important if you want to understand how football coach really implement tactic.

He hardly goes into detail? Can you extrapolate from what he's saying please - what do you think the takeaways are from what he said?

Had a quick look on the Gooners forum to see what they think of our recent departures, Havertz and Jorginho.

On Havertz not convinced, think he gets bullied too much though sometimes makes good runs, disappointed they paid over £60m.

One adds not as bad as the Chavs they paid £80m, though of course we clearly got that back with the CL win.

On Jorginho most think he works really well with Rice and want him to extend his contract another season.

Basically conte "install" his system  using circuit training (10 v 0). He will drill it to you until as dier said you can do it blindly. Move here, move there, pass to player a, b n c.

This is one example of Poch doing circuit training. He want his winger to stay wide and then get narrow. As you can see in the video, there is no opp 😁😁😁

Ange on the other hand as dier said does not do this. He will give his player framework on how he want his team to play and setup his training so his team learn how to play his way by themselves without him dictating his player, so there is no 10 v 0 session.

If you have watched spurs play this season, the movement is insane and crazy fluid. But you can see the space between player is not perfect and you see player looking at one another and looking at the opp and move accordingly.

Artificial Intelligence has predicted the winners of the Champions League up until 2103. Some interesting selections. We'll next win it in 2046. By which time I'll be in the great football ground in the sky.

AI has a long way to go before it can be relied upon. Perhaps this table is a belated April Fool.

I'm determined to see back to back Rangers titles in 2068 and 69. I might need to be plugged into a machine by that stage but it'd be worth it 😂

Klopp was calling the Atalanta as Atlanta and he also misspoke about what European competition he's actually playing so I think it's pretty obvious, he just cares about the PL and he's out.
