January 7, 20242 yr Should of scored in the first half yesterday. After the goal at Luton it was probably too easy for him lol.

On a separate note, just watching Liverpool against Fulham at the momnet. No TTA tonight so Klopp pis playing a young RB as a.......well, as a RB. No playing a CB in there or going some random sort of wing back thing, no just went to the cupboard and rooted around for the other available RBs and pulled out the next one. I belive we have 4 (?) adult squads each with all of the positions populated. Not hard really.

Stop trying to fit players in, put them in the position they are best in, put a striker in at 9, put Palmer where he belongs, out a LB at LB, not RW. Edited January 13, 20242 yr by dkw

Borja can't play every game otherwise he will hurt his knee

January 13, 20242 yr @ValerieI used to be excited when we sign young player. Now, I really don't care, there are simply too many of them.

January 15, 20242 yr Wonder if Pep is having regrets about letting Palmer leave? Would be great if he could let us have Oscar Bobb too. And Rodri.

Pep's policy is to release players who don't want to stay at the club. Palmer wanted out to get game time. He was down the pecking order behind the myriad other experienced options. MC doesn't miss him.

January 16, 20242 yr They are doing something right in their scouting. That Oscar Bobb goal was vintage City academy. They have a habit of producing attackers whereas Cobham produces defenders.

I don't know, I could see him getting in ahead of Doku and Grealish. Doku blows hot and cold, and Grealish isn't anything special at City. At the same time though, they play on the left and Palmer plays on the right or centrally. The ones he would be competing against are Silva, De Bruyne and Foden. Silva and De Bruyne are on another level, but I think over time, he can overtake Foden. Edited January 22, 20242 yr by Scott Harris
