Some will say Saka for young player of the year, and he may win it if Arsenal win the league, but when it comes to individual performances, Palmer has been the better player and he's doing it in a much worse team.

I think Saka is too old now.

According to Wikipedia's YPOTY entry : "As of 2021, players must have been aged 21 or under as of 1 July immediately preceding the start of the season"

Saka only turned 22 in September though. He was still only 21 in July.

Honestly he has a similar profile to 2013 Mata, not that fast but technically sublime

Not as fast as Mata? Or do you mean Mata is not as fast as Cole? I don't ever recall Mata being fast.

Liverpool would be absolutely mental not to take advantage of our situation and snap up Palmer. He is level on goals with MO Salah, who will need replacing soon.

Palmer is not a mid table level talent, he is outstanding!

He has been a revelation this season and I hope he stays with us for many years. I reckon if and when he does eventually leave us it will be for Man United. He is a Manchester kid and grew up a United fan. No doubt that hattrick today made him feel even prouder given the opposition.

unreal player, way better player than I thought we were getting. The biggest thing that pissed me off with our attack since Willian left, is that nobody stepped up and took responsibility. Palmer is similar to hazard that respect,he loves taking responsibility.

Hopefully we build around him.

Doubt they can afford him. Given his form, English player tax, plus then being a rival team he will not go for less than 200 mil. Only City or Madrid can probably afford him if they want to buy him back.

Must be gut-wrenching for City fans, seeing him perform the way he is doing. The thing is, although he would not have been a constant starter, there was game time for him. Similarly to Foden, years ago when people were clamouring for him to start and were questioning Pep's use of him. There was enough game time for him on the RW.

Anyway another top performance. His composure and confidence is amazing. The bottle needed to score the penalty at the end is not easy for any young man, but that is twice this season now, where he has scored a penalty at the death in front of a nervy but expectant crowd. This should of been another game where he had a G&A as he brilliantly set up Gallagher who unfortunately hit the post. I hope he gets YPOTS, however if Arsenal win league, most likely Saka or Saliba who gets it, but honestly should go to Palmer. He has been exceptional.
