April 4, 20242 yr Now has more combined goals and assists than Haaland (in 90 fewer minutes), despite Haaland playing for probably the best team in the world and Palmer playing for our Nonsense FC.
April 4, 20242 yr In the summer the whole team and coach staff should put a percentage of their wages into a kitty and give it to Palmer. He's absolutely dragged us through this season and kept Poch in a job.
April 4, 20242 yr Credit to Poch he’s given him the chances to play and he’s taken it, if only the other players can do the same.
April 4, 20242 yr Some will say Saka for young player of the year, and he may win it if Arsenal win the league, but when it comes to individual performances, Palmer has been the better player and he's doing it in a much worse team.

I think Saka is too old now. According to Wikipedia's YPOTY entry : "As of 2021, players must have been aged 21 or under as of 1 July immediately preceding the start of the season"

He was still only 21 in July.

April 4, 20242 yr 16 goals in the Premier League. Equal second highest in the competition. The last time a Chelsea player scored as many goals as that in the PL was Eden Hazard (16 goals) in the 2018/19 season.

April 4, 20242 yr Liverpool would be absolutely mental not to take advantage of our situation and snap up Palmer. He is level on goals with MO Salah, who will need replacing soon. Palmer is not a mid table level talent, he is outstanding!
April 4, 20242 yr Cole has now moved past Sterling for "most career Chelsea goals" in the current squad, despite giving him a season's head start LOL

April 4, 20242 yr He has been a revelation this season and I hope he stays with us for many years. I reckon if and when he does eventually leave us it will be for Man United. He is a Manchester kid and grew up a United fan. No doubt that hattrick today made him feel even prouder given the opposition.

April 4, 20242 yr unreal player, way better player than I thought we were getting. The biggest thing that pissed me off with our attack since Willian left, is that nobody stepped up and took responsibility. Palmer is similar to hazard that respect,he loves taking responsibility. Hopefully we build around him.

Given his form, English player tax, plus then being a rival team he will not go for less than 200 mil. Only City or Madrid can probably afford him if they want to buy him back.
April 5, 20242 yr Must be gut-wrenching for City fans, seeing him perform the way he is doing. The thing is, although he would not have been a constant starter, there was game time for him. Similarly to Foden, years ago when people were clamouring for him to start and were questioning Pep's use of him. There was enough game time for him on the RW. Anyway another top performance. His composure and confidence is amazing. The bottle needed to score the penalty at the end is not easy for any young man, but that is twice this season now, where he has scored a penalty at the death in front of a nervy but expectant crowd. This should of been another game where he had a G&A as he brilliantly set up Gallagher who unfortunately hit the post. I hope he gets YPOTS, however if Arsenal win league, most likely Saka or Saliba who gets it, but honestly should go to Palmer. He has been exceptional.
