Can't expect him to perform at his best in every game. Why can't the others step up?

The question is, how is he able to continue benefitting from the actual coaching he clearly got under Pep, when every other clown in our squad tends to forget any coaching they have ever had pre Poch.

Today happening so soon after Man United must have him giving his future some serious thought.

Probably should have thought about it before signing the 7 year contract 🤣

Realistically though, it is going to be something to consider in a year or two if we continue to bob around in mid table. Not in anyway saying Cole would be the type to, but you can imagine some of these other younger players with their over inflated ego's start kicking off when they realise we're still sh*te but wont let them leave for less than 80m becuase theres still 6 years left on their contract, despite them being the reason we are still sh*te.

Palmer more specifically, given that hes just been a part of a treble winning squad, would probably be content with being the focal point of a team, getting minutes and pushing his way into the England team for a few years. Hopefully we have sorted our lives out by then.

Obviously wasn't 100% yesterday, possibly illness. He rested on the advertising hoarding before taking a corner. Should have started Carney, held Palmer back if needed.

It's mine every morning getting out of bed....

Can we hold onto this guy forever? Because there's sure as hell going to be a lot of interest in him, especially if he performs like this next season too.

Cole Palmer has been involved in 25 goals in his last 22 Premier League games, scoring 16 and assisting nine. The ice man is on fire.

He's positively volcanic now. Lad's on a different level. A joy to watch.

Depends. We build a side to compete for top honors, and pay him accordingly, we have a decent shot of him staying for a while.

We stay a mid table side with no European  football there is zip all chance of it.

20+ goals in a PL season by a Chelsea player:

  • Didier Drogba (2009/2010) = 29
  • Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (2000/2001) = 23
  • Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink (2001/2002) = 23
  • Frank Lampard (2009/2010) = 22
  • Didier Drogba (2006/2007) = 20
  • Diego Costa (2014/2015) = 20
  • Diego Costa (2016/2017) = 20
  • Cole Palmer (2023/2024) = 20

Becoming a part of an exclusive club.

He has taken 40 shots on target in total so half of his shots on target are goals right now, I believe in total he scores 1 out of 3 shots he's taking.

7 successive games he has scored which is a record and he's also on 9 assists. He's also on 14 goals at home which is 2 less than Drogba's and Lampard's record.
