De Zerbi now favourite with the bookies.

Predictable as f**k. Im certain this has all been a charade to pretend we hadn't made our decision yet.

The link for Olise was key for me. Why would they be doing this for an Amorim as he would be a totally inappropriate purchase in a 3 atb system. Pretty convinced its going to be de Zerbi. As I mentioned before I am now hardened to the fact that this mob will continually get it wrong and balls it up.

Was starting to fall for the McKenna hype but just seen Maidenhead knocked Ipswich out of the FA cup and now doubting him again.

Likely he goes to Brighton, outside shot he goes to United. No chance of here. We will be getting RDZ.

Maybe we are just waiting for Brighton to announce their new manager first.

Who is the mystery candidate?

the return of Tuchel?
the reappointment of Poch?
Todd Boehly himself?
Frank Lampard?

High profile.  That rules out the bloke from Brighton surely?

High Profile mystery candidate. . .

Jose
Zidanne
Conte
Klopp?
Deschamps?
Sir Ferguson?

Deschamps
Allegri

I'm not seeing any news articles saying De Zerbi is likely to come, what's made him the favourite all of a sudden?

Well the odds are geared by where the money is going.

There was a story today that he hasn't been ruled out. Coupled with a story we are going to make a decision in 48 hours. It all seems like we're gravitating in that direction to me

I dont think its RDZ. Usually with clearlake there tends to be smoke before the fire, with RDZ I haven't even seen a single source mention him in the running other than him not being ruled out. Unless Clearlake have got better at stopping their leaks (or alternatively are now doing a smoke and mirrors approach on their appointments)

The longer the name is up in the air the more I think its Amorim.

He has the porteguese cup final tomorrow and once that's over I think we will get a clear view on who we want.

I don't have alot of faith in this ownership but I would like to think if they wanted someone it would have been pretty much out in the open by now and they are waiting until after Porto vs Sporting.

That's just my guess anyway from reading online.

“The rumours I’m hearing and again wouldn’t go and put any money on it, there’s 4-5 names being linked on Twitter and on the press but I believe it will be De Zerbi, it’s just one person and I’ve not triple checked but I’m hearing there’s a good chance it being him” (@Teamnewsandtix on Patreon)

I remember the AVB appointment coming as a surprise, everyone had Hiddink pegged as a replacement, massive favourite for the longest, then AVB got the job out of nowhere and Hiddink said he had never even been approached for the job.

Point being, could be another case, a big distraction for a surprise. But if that is the case lets hope it's better than AVB.

I’m wondering if there are some soccer coaches in the MLS that they could be eyeing up.

Why limit themselves to the MLS LOL. They're trawling the NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL for coaching talent as we speak !

So if its de zerbi as you guys are suggesting then we've given Brighton even more money to pay his buy out clause ffs

Yep and mugged themselves even more by paying the clause not so quietly.  Press will rightly shred them for it. Just waiting for the breaking insight from Kaveh Solekol

I bet it's someone who isn't even in the list of options to bet on LOL

Some pearl from left of left field that Winstanley and Stewart have uncovered for Eghbali to show how clever they all are !

Sadly not. It'll be de Zerbi...what a surprise. This is something Younes did predict 4 months ago tbf.

You guys remember when Poch and Winstanley watched that European Brighton match? Was it seriously a case of Winstanley telling Poch this is the guy that’s taking over?

Like I said, I’m fairly certain this was decided AGES ago. League cup defeat I reckon.

De Zerbi....well there's a step forward.......................NOT.   This club has lost the plot completely.   I just do not understand the fascination with Brighton and our Board.....I mean WTF has De Zerbi has done in his career to justify the Chelsea managers job?........just head scratching beyond belief.    Another few million pissed down the drain..

Seriously, why are we aiming to be Brighton?

Despite all of their cheating, we should aiming to be ran like City. They have an excellent football model.
