Im getting to the stage where I don't give a fek , just beginning to accept a manager and he's gone .Rinse and repeat etc

It is very disheartening that we’re in this terrible loop. I am not really fussed who the manager is as they won’t last long regardless. They might as well appoint poor old terminally ill Sven Goran Erikson as his life expectancy is still probably longer than a Chelsea managers tenure. And their role seems little more than handing out shirts, placing cones and talking to the media anyway. I think everything else is done by the investor committee.

The days of "Mr Abramovich ... pay!" are well and truly over that's for sure 🙂

Ben Jacobs:

Understand Chelsea are prepared to offer a minimum three-year guaranteed contract.

Pochettino agreed to a shorter-term deal, which as the season went on became a point of debate and contention given the long-term project goals.

His replacement will get a longer contract.🔵

Does actually matter who we get now?

The players for the first time in a long while at this club were fighting for the manager things started to settle a bit and one more season of stability wouldn’t have hurt us at all.

Now we go back to square one and the players now have to learn a new system, new manager, new training methods etc.

If we are top 8 in December this year I would be shocked but surprised.

Were they fighting for the manager? Or were they playing the exact same as they had all season, the manager just finally landed on the solution 6 months too late.

We said we were back to square one when Conte came in and went and won the league. A new manager is just as likely to create a bounce bacl than they are to start from square one.

True, but they set odds to ensure they do not lose money. There is a LOT of insider dealing in football, so it means a lot of people have their money on McKenna already.

I remember having a chat with a bookie years ago about transfer odds, he reckoned there was so little actually bet on them that a decent amount threw at a bet can move the market massively.

Just to back this up, Evening Standard literally just ran this quote:

"bet365's Steve Freeth said: "From 10.15 until 10.50 this morning, every single bet we took on the next Chelsea manager was on Jose Mourinho, which goes against the grain of the reports of Chelsea wanting a young and dynamic manager.

I'd be happy if we got Amorim tbh. He has that aura where I can just see him being a big success.

System could be an issue, as I think we would need a pacy centre back that can also step into midfield, maybe someone like Todibo, and I think left wing back we would need a bring in quality too, unless we can keep Maatsen, which is unlikely as I'm sure we will have to sell Maatsen, Gallagher, and Chalobah anyway.

Rest of the team i see working pretty well, although could be the end for the wingers in the squad if they cant adapt to playing more as inside forwards, not a big problem for me as, our best attackers are Palmer and Nkunku, and we have Paez and Estavao coming in, who all can operate as inside forwards/10's.

Probably end up with Thomas Frank though, since we got his set piece coach too....🤦‍♂️

You mean someone like Reece James and then that frees up space to start Gusto too??? Hire him now.

Definitely Amorim gor me,but what I Definitely want to see is the coach not just sitting down with his arms crossed,I like a coach who isn't afraid of bollocking players from the touch line.

Yeah could work, although all the little tactical breakdown videos I've seen to make me an expert😂 it's usually the middle if the 3 that steps up, but Iim sure Amorim can find solutions, we have a quite a versatile squad tbh, raw but versatile and moldable under the right coach.

Mudryk, Madueke, Cucurella, and Disasi would be redundant in Amorim's football.

Bigger issue would be Caicedo and Enzo, heard some say they would not suit his style.
