I can't believe I am saying this after 53 years of supporting Chelsea, Home, Away, In Europe and through thick and a helluva lot of thin, BUT I really couldn't give a f**k anymore. The change of Owners to the current Clowns, the appointment of two Sporting directors who have a lot less footballing nouse than most of us on here and the absolute spunking of over £1 billion on some very very mediocre (poor even) players, has now made we seriously consider not spending more money following and supporting the Club. But, before I get dog's abuse for this, I will ALWAYS be a Chelsea fan, but may choose to go and watch Leatherhead in non-league football in preference to paying up to £200 for a day out at the Bridge to continue to witness the collapse of our once wonderful Club.

Were we wonderful 30-50 years ago? I’d take this any day over the season we were challenging for relegation to the 3rd division.

Shots on goal. You can have shots on goal a ton if that is what you aim for. We have had a lot of shots under Tuchel as well but didn't manage to score that much of them. Shots on goal tells you one story.

Only names left are Enzo Maresca and Thomas Frank according to David Ornstien.

Though he said known names.

I’m probably much more fond of Thomas frank than most people, I think he’s very good tactically.

Still would rather have kept Poch mind but if those are the two options then it has to be Thomas Frank.

Worrying times, serial non winner De Zerbi, an absolute rookie in Maresca that seems like pep lite, or Thomas Frank, who is pretty much the german David Moyes at best.

Shocking tbh.

None of these managers have achieved anything close to what we are expecting them to achieve next season.

I miss the days when we had a managers that had history of actually winning things. I suppose the main criteria now is just not complaining about the new structure, in public, or in private, and there is a good chance you can survive with a 28% win rate for a long time a la Potter.

Unbelievable 2 years.

We are the only club ever to survive an Ornstein bomb but I doubt if we’ll ever survive a second one.

It may be Maresca. Phillips basically tapping in an Ornstein cross.

That may be what he says on Twitter and I don't know what time Twitter shows but the latest newsletter I have from his site dated 6 hours (12:41 am London time)  ago says no such thing.

And Romano jumps on the same bandwagon. Romano is relatively weak on this topic maybe because managers make more of their own decisions and rely less on agents. That is speculation on my part.

It's unlikely that Chelsea management are leaking much about this. They might have some incentive to do so, to fly a kite and see the reaction, but basically the  team managers being interviewed have much more incentive via intermediaries to leak to journos in the hope of creating positive support and boosting their case.

My conclusion is that there were talks with Maresca over the weekend.

"Enzo Maresca remains keen on Chelsea job as he’s given his availability after positive contacts over the weekend, still waiting for club’s final decision." Romano
