Unless there is a plan to offload Madueke then this signing make very little sense. 

 

 

We are acknowledging the fact that we need proper wingers. Madueke has put the effort in – but he still may not be good enough. Sterling and Mudryck are not good enough.

 

This is yet another very injury prone player. For the price he would command I would pass.

Why? We aren't spending £60m for Neto to play back up to Palmer. 

If he's signing its got to be to play on the left, which leaves one of Mudryk/Sterling to be offloaded.

Neto's a good player, I just don't understand how we can justify signing another winger with such a ridiculously bloated squad

Yeah Wolves fans are properly upset. They feel even with his injury history they should've demanded a higher fee. Quality player but comes with some dodgy hamstrings so there's always a cache to the 'smart' signings we make. 

 

He tore us to pieces last season at the Bridge. Some smokescreen we’ve put up all summer “Chelsea feel they don’t need another left footed attacker” was all Romano was saying. And then we fork out £51m+ for a left footed winger. Be interesting to see how we incorporate all of these players. I’d bet there an unexpected departure coming.

Apart from injury history (I know it's a gamble), I don't see any downside to this signing. Technically top player , plus an instant upgrade on Mudryk/Sterling/Madueke and can play on either side.

Trying to rush through his medical now. Good player and with the dressing room so crowded he might as well just change in the physios room, where he spends a fair chunk of his time anyway

He will be playing on the LW, brilliant with both feet.

Personally prefer Kudus though, and would have bought him instead of Neto. More productive, more durable, a year younger, and can play as an 7, 10, 11, and 9.

A well run club would have prioritised cutting both early in the summer to clear the deck.

He's missed over 100 games already due to injury, I would say its more than a gamble. 

Wait what the hell.  This came out of nowhere!  Great player great signing in my opinion.  A player who can change a game in a moment and finally a winger who can finish.   This is the kind of signing we should be making a player who's is still young but has loads more experience and shown much more potential than our usual signings.  Defiantly a question mark over his injury record.  We do have a million wingers to cover mind.
