Utd cut off Alexis Sanchez after 2 seasons, Arteta got rid of Willian after one season. Even if it meant not doing any business this season. Let's say we cut both Mudryk n Sterling. Now who will play lw? Neto is very injury prone.

August 9, 20241 yr First signing this summer I’m actually excited about. Him and Palmer on both flanks will tear open defences

August 9, 20241 yr 1st signing I'm actually excited about. Good 2nd option after Olise and actually more comfortable to play either too tbh. Injury record is a massive concern. Just goes to show, if you moan enough on here, Boehly see's it with his burner account, and does a madness! 😂 Hopefully this pushes Sterling and Mudryk further down the pecking order. Great player, Nkunku, Palmer, and Neto in what ever combination we can put together, is as good as anything else in the league.

As much as it seems like the club are playing football manager at times, we can't have all the best players. Take this for what it is, we are signing a very good player that is proven in the league. People have been crying for proven quality for a while, this is it.

Bayern didn't just offer more money. They're a huge club, one of the biggest in the world, regularly winning trophies at home and competing in Europe. We on the other hand are currently a team in a Conference league hoping to get back in the top four after two poor seasons with an inexperienced manager and young and imbalanced squad. Not to mention Olise's own injury history. Edited August 9, 20241 yr by abramovich

In perfect world they will have suitors but I think this throws Nonis future into doubt more than them. Someone will take a punt on Noni and has been linked to Newcastle, so can we see anyone paying a fee for Mudryk or paying Sterlings wages. Neto and Sterling have the ability to play on the right to cover Noni. Edited August 9, 20241 yr by Sheva
August 9, 20241 yr I reckon season ticket sales are down, Neto makes people think again. No doubt on his quality can he stay fit?
August 9, 20241 yr Samu Nkunku Palmer Neto Fair play for keeping this one under the radar, rarely a transfer this big is kept a secret
August 9, 20241 yr Good to see that when these Player Traders get a trade in their heads they're immovable

That’s not saying Olise is a bad player I still would rather have Olise but if you take the season prior without Glasners influence the stats don’t look as one sided. It also points out the madness of these stat offs everyone keeps using to rate players. Having watched a lot of Neto playing he’s a bloody good player.
August 9, 20241 yr Quality player but don't expect anything in the way of defensive input, tracking back, etc. Not his go. Unless someone can introduce him to the notion.
August 9, 20241 yr Will he stay fit? Neto at Wolves for 5 years Averaged 15 PL starts per season 145 appearances for club and country Missed 108 games through injury will he pass the medical?

Personally won’t have signed him, there are more dynamic options like Anthony Gordon & Kudus around the same age and with better output. Outside that age range Pote from Sporting is a brilliant player. We have spent a ridiculous amount again; £120m + £35m on Gabriel Mec & Mike Penders + £89m on Samu & Neto. £249m and barely moved the needle. You could in the interim use Nkunku as LW with Tyrique George as backup. Exact thing Arsenal did when they cut off Willian; an 18yr old Saka competing with another bust Nicolas Pepe in the short term. The latter was bin & loaned out to Lille a season after with Arsenal signing a £30m Fabio Vieira to replace him. It’s an opportunity missed to speed up Tyrique George’s development.

August 9, 20241 yr He's a decent footballer, but there are two major issues for me, the obvious one being his injuries, the other being his end product. He looks flashy, but he rarely scores goals.

He looks flashy, but he rarely scores goals. Not his job. Only KDB has more assists per minute in the Premier League. Tidy in tight areas, can hug the touch line or play inside, good in 1v1 situations and very quick on the break. Should he stay healthy this is a 9/10 signing.
August 9, 20241 yr Always thought he'd end up at City or at Liverpool as Salah's replacement. One of my favourite wingers in the PL. Hopefully he has a healthy Chelsea career.
August 9, 20241 yr With Palmer and Neto on the wings we instantly turn into a very dangerous attacking side. If defenders dare try and double up on them than that just frees up Nkunku, Enzo and Jackson.
