Servette vs Chelsea (Conference League) Thursday 29th Aug 24, 19:30 GMT

Best case scenario if its a really bad pitch. We play keep ball for 30mins at corner flags and such. Their fans get pissy and storm the pitch. Game gets chalked off with current score and we go through.

I won't even ask for my fiver back for the cfc stream...lol

Just no fkn injuries pls.

I want to see the side who played against Wolves turn out so they build momentum - I'd also play them on the weekend. Only thing is Thursday night game. We need a goal to kill off the tie imo. Start strong, win the game then chill with subs.

Herein lies the problem with a sizeable squad like ours. Maresca wants to maintain a meritocracy for selection which is something i think that we would all get behind. But he needs to rotate regularly for fitness and match sharpness, as well as keeping players happy. You can get away (sometimes) with having a league keeper and one for the cups because you have to have a back up and all keepers are aware that a sizeable proportion of their careers can be sat on the bench. Outfield players are different. So it will be a tough balancing act to maintain a regular rotational policy to keep all players competitive and fit but at the same time develop and maintain momentum when positive results come around. You don't change a winning team but you don't want 8 players knocking on your door every week.

I want that vibe to carry on from last weekend, but do i want Fofana risking injury in what we hope will end up a dead rubber. Hell know, Put Disasi and Badiashile out there.

To pick the team for every conference league game this season the first step should be to pick the starting 11 for the following weekend premier league game first.  Then none of those players should be in the midweek conference league game preceding it.

Then pick the team from the remaining available squad, with debate around how involved the bench players from the weekend game can be in the conference league game.

Great team. I'd of rested Madueke but understand keeping him sharp.

That defensive lineup makes me shudder… let’s hope they have a good night and we get a good win and a clean sheet! COYB!!

This competition is so important

the other night at the bridge saw lots of mums and dads with

a couple of kids , tickets at £27 adult and £13.50 kids

its the only chance a lot of families get to see the team.

And those kids become the future fans.

i love the cups , my family had 4 tickets for £110 , great night out

we need to progress in this with the large squad.

Great shout, I’ve not been in a few years and thought this could be a good opportunity to fly in and bring my girls.

Not only actually being able to get tickets for all of us, but it being affordable.
