Forest will cause the big teams a lot of problems away from home. They’re great in scenarios like today, less so when the onus is on them to attack.

I thought we responded well to going behind, something that hasn’t been a strong point for the last few years. We had some very very good chances and on another day would have got the win.

Props to Sanchez for the saves at the end. Thought Mudryk did better than expected when coming on. Enzo really the only one I’m annoyed with.

It’s the Nkunku and Felix chances that make it a hard pill to swallow, but you’re right. 
 

Away from home Forrest got their formula right. Structured/Defensive football mixed with dark arts of time wasting.

Loving your positivity Niall. Totally agree on Enzo. But it thought it was possibly the worst ever performance from Jackson. Regardless of how dreadfully he played, I would drop him for yet again arguing with his own team mates.

To be fair, he has Messi on those teams. He gets a lot of space and opponents can't concentrate much on him

Seems like 2 steps forward and 1 back although Forrest just made it hard.  Too many ordinary performances, did they take them too lightly ?

I think we will beat Liverpool to close the gap and open the league right up 

Personally, I think most reactions here are overblown. We've just begun climbing the steps to getting into Top 4.

This performance wasn't as bad as last season, Forest was cheating all around. It got so bad, JWP blatantly caught the ball next to the center circle

To be fair though we called for Nkunku and Felix to come on and they blew it, while Mudryk and Neto offered nothing and Palmer did not save us. He cannot always, and needs others to help him.

His build alone was always going to make it a tough ask for him in this league. The Premier League is simply too fast and frantic for him. Enzo's legs just don't have the physical requirement to deal with that, and it's not a position you can be weak in. If we can't win the midfield battle, then we can never hope to control a game of football.

Mudryk ran the whole pitch n put it on a plate for nkunku.

Agree on Maresca, but thought Mudryk did everything he could in his limited minutes, if the keeper doesn't save that Nkunku header we'd be praising the hell out of that cross. Way better than Neto and what Sancho provided this game. Madueke also tried a lot and deserves some praise. Not everything came off, but his drive to win/score is a must in games like these.

Persisting with Enzo and Jackson for as long as he did is what bugged me.
