February 2Feb 2 From what i have seen of him playing for Strasbourg he is a typical young player, playing in a weak league with ample space and lack of pressure. He will be a complete unknown commodity but it is highly likely that he will also struggle to cope with the pace, intensity of press and general physicality of our league. The cretins that are running our club do not have the mental capacity to understand that there is more to mature players than just the resale value. Learning the ropes alongside a seasoned professional with experience from playing in this league is massively important. The only player that we really have that offers that, and stay fit is Chalobah and we all know he'll be on his way as soon as a Palace or Fulham pony up enough dough to keep the UEFA sanction police from our door.
February 2Feb 2 Of course only got YouTube to go on, I don't watch Strasbourg, but I'd be shocked if he comes in and takes the CB spot for his own. He seems just as rough around the edges as a lot of our signings. Probably be fighting with Badiasielle as 3rd/4tth choice.

Biggest worry is he will be the coach’s pet; does that translate to favouritism? Rosenior will keep rotating his CBs but my fear his he will get punished real soon. The signs are there, CB is one place you need stability.
February 2Feb 2 Senesi wouldve been an okay addition. Sarr just more of the same. Our centre backs are either potentially good, or squad players. The one big money signing we brought in has had his ceiling lowered dramitically with injury, and its no surpise the only one that looked capable of making that next step was Colwill who played with Thiago Silva.Experience is massive at centre back. Jacquet right to go and play next to Van Dijk for a year or 2. We need a quality senior, centre back and all these prospects and squad players will improve massively.

However, as all the human ironing board ever does is pass it to the nearest player regardless of their situation, he will receive an hospital ball from Baddysh!te pretty early on, get smashed by a "welcome to the PL" forward, and that will set the tone.If the lad had a Dave or a Thiago Silva alongside him to teach him the Prem ropes then fair enough, but with Gusto and Baddysh!te, talk about clowns to the left of me, jokers to the right!

February 3Feb 3 A totally unpopular opinion around here, but I rate him highly than Acheampong. I think Sarr is Chelsea's brightest talent at the back, but at the same time I do not see how these guys (Sarr, Acheampong, Anselmino, even Colwill) can step up to the next level by always partnering someone as young as they are. They need experience around them to grow, otherwise they will always be part of inexperienced defences, always bound for errors and always under pressure. I know some learn things the hard way, but in sports it is better to have stability and build confidence that way.
February 5Feb 5 Author Isn't it about time we move this to the general Chelsea folder lol?Nice little distraction from the fact they bottled yet another January transfer window.

February 7Feb 7 I’m excited to see what he can offer. Difficult introduction but he looks more composed than Badiahsile, and assuming he has more ability than Tosin. He’ll have to learn from Trev for now. We really do lean on Trev so much - the guys such a pro and good person. Alright Sarr - make that spot your own!!
February 14Feb 14 Author Decent cameo. As expected, looks assuring on the ball and very comfortable. No nonsense passing unless its accurate and a threat to the attacking end. A strength he has that I noticed at AFCON too is that he's more often than not goal side of the attacker when a cross comes in. Reads it well. Not getting my hopes up just yet as Badiashile looked good on his debut.

February 14Feb 14 Was quietly impressed, albeit against weak opposition but certainly looked the part. Can see why Rosenior was so keen to bring him over early.

February 15Feb 15 He looked decent the other day, we need some of the signings to start landing.Better opposition to come but fingers crossed.

He would have been better off as a starter with Strasbourg helping them push towards consecutive European places.
March 2Mar 2 Author Honestly if this lad goes on and takes advantage of his height and improves his aerial presence, he's going to become elite.

March 18Mar 18 It just shows the absurdity of the situation at this club when they are starting Sarr and Hato, players with zero experience at this level, into the defence of a Champions League last 16 tie against European champions and possibly the best side in the world. It's a f**king farce.I've never seen anything like it.

March 18Mar 18 Yeah, we really can’t blame the young defenders for last night. Only Cucurella and Chalobah are experienced enough, and to be honest only Cucurella is at the required standard to compete. Can you imagine being 19 years old, and to find out you’re starting tonight. Against Kvara, Dembele and Barcola.Ridiculous.
