January 21, 20251 yr When I first heard the links to simple Jack.. I mean Garnacho I assumed he was going on the cheap similar to Sancho and our amazing directors see an opportunity to flip him for profit. Now hearing they want £60 million for him, have they've lost their god damn minds. Man Utd clearly need an overhaul and seem to have money problems, now in steps good ol' Chelsea to set them on the path to overtaking us in the league by ridding them of one of their problems while giving them a good financial boost. As @axman2526 said it wouldn't surprise me if we threw in Nkunku to sweeten the deal. I hate this opportunist scatter gun transfer mess we are creating Felix, Sancho, and now Garnacho (there maybe more) all players that where most likely never on any of the directors transfer plans, but they can't resist a 'deal' they have to sign them. What happened to the planning? £60m could go towards or buy a Bryan Mbeumo, jhon Duran, or save it for the summer for someone good. Any scout advising to get Garnacho should be fired on the spot.
January 21, 20251 yr I love how the only explanation journalists have is "fearing the worst of Mudryk's situation". So the answer is to spend 60m on another bit part player.
January 21, 20251 yr Tyrique George must be wondering why they bothered adding him to the first team squad !

I’ve been wondering that as well as I’ve seen absolutely nothing in any of his performances to show he’s ready for men’s football as of yet, he’s 2 or 3 loans away from even being a squad player.

Even if he was tearing up the PL every week, we shouldn't be looking at him. The fact he isn't and looks fairly average, make this all laughable. If only he was fairly average, then you could understand it maybe. The fact that he is dog sh!te makes it look even more dodgy if it happens, cos there is no way we're flipping this guy for a profit.
January 21, 20251 yr I doubt this will happen. Looks like Napoli are favourites for his signature. Man Utd have already lowered their asking price according to Di Marzio. Also, why would they sell one of their better prospects to us? Considering we scammed them for Mount, lol.
January 21, 20251 yr If Napoli pull this off, we officially have to make them our sister club after this, Conte owes us one after all that compensation he received.

Honestly if they sign Garnacho over us I’d make sure they got some heavily discounted deals for some of our talented players. Disasi and Badiashile come to mind. Buy one get one free maybe or BOGOF as they say.
January 21, 20251 yr Manchester United have lowered their demands for Alejandro Garnacho in talks with Napoli, according to Sky in Italy 🚨 Man Utd are said to have come down from their initial asking price after holding talks on Tuesday and are now open to doing business at around £55m 🔴
January 21, 20251 yr With Mishi gone for a few years, it does feel like we need another winger. I’m not convinced Garnacho will be a good fit though. I don’t trust anyone from United. That said, wasn’t Garnacho on our original list before we got Palmer? Sure I read that somwhere

With or without Mudryk, we would be no better or worse off because he's rubbish. The reason why we would need a winger is because neither Sancho or Neto are good enough, but Garnacho is not the answer.
January 22, 20251 yr This is just bizarre and have the fingerprints of Beavis and butthead all over it.
January 22, 20251 yr The quoted 50M is absurd, however at 25-30M I genuinely believe this could be good business. There is a player in there it’s just suffocated by the Utd machine currently. I mean look at the performances we’re getting out of Sancho (who I rate really highly as our current best LW and should gain his England place back with his recent performances) compared to the tape he was putting out at Utd. Since Fergie left that club is in such a shambles, it still THINKS it’s huge but unfortunately the lack of infrastructure and dearth of talent will drag even the most promising players down. I mean they sold their best player in McTominay over the summer and haven’t replaced him. There is no current WC players in the squad and those that were are at the wrong end of their careers (Casemiro)
January 22, 20251 yr If we indeed splash that much cash on this guy, fans should riot in front of the Bridge until they see heads on spikes, GoT style.
January 22, 20251 yr Alejandro Garnacho, 20, who is valued at £50m. . . it was 60 at the weekend. . .so his price has dropped 10 million quid in days. Why do Man United want to sell him? He is one of the best players that they have currently and they don't have many - any? Do we need him? No. No I do not think that we do need him. Not at all. We already have wingers and we have some winger attacking mid kids arriving in the summer. Younger. Generational talent, etc. Who else wants him? Napoli. Anyone else? I mean if we are selling Nkunku and Felix in the jan window –and we have already lost the accidental drug addict - sure take the kid, I guess. . .for Sancho money or a little less. FYI - United paid Atlético a £420,000 fee for him. Are we just financing the Man United rebuild?

There is no current WC players in the squad and those that were are at the wrong end of their careers (Casemiro) He is competing with 1 goal 2 assists Neto with us, not exactly high level competition. No way he (2g+4a) gets back in the England squad ahead of Bowen (5g+4a), Gordon (6g+4a), Rogers (6g+4a), and a resurgent Foden who took half the season off but already has 6g+2a. I am in the minority who don’t rate him and think he is streaky and no consistent enough to start for a club serious about competing. He has 1 assist in his last 7 league games, and he has started 6 of them. As for Garnacho the general consensus with most Utd fans is a player who isn’t really a winger, has low footballing intelligence, who isn't particularly fast or strong, not very good at dribbling, not a good passer, not a great crosser but strikes the ball okay. If you spend potentially £120m on 3 forward players in one window and end up with 3 players who combined would struggle to score 10 league goals amongst them, then you have spent badly. He might potentially end up being a good player one day, but he needs loads of minutes starting game and doesn’t move the needle with us.

Problem is you do that and you stop yourself from improving that role in the summer when the market opens up. Gordon & PSGs Bradley Barcola might be up for sale then at around £70m and give you another 10+ league goals player to pair with Palmer.
January 22, 20251 yr None of our wingers are very convincing, and I don't think Garnacho adds anything either. To be honest I kind of wish we'd just go back to 3-4-2-1 which actually fits our squad profiles so much better, especially now Enzo is out for a bit, and we don't have to try and shoe-horn him in somewhere to placate Eghbali.
January 22, 20251 yr Every transfer window is April fools day with the lot in charge. didnt improve united, wont improve us.
January 22, 20251 yr So. Napoli need Garnacho as a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia - the Georgian Messi - who is joining which team? Couldnt they just do a straight swap with united? Why the hell are we even getting involved in this? Maybe Napoli will bid 50 million for Mr.Felix? He could be the Portuguese Maradona.
