January 22, 20251 yr This would genuinely be worse than the Lukaku deal, Kepa, Torres, you name it. Literally no silver lining here, unless you’ve got a soft spot for United. He literally ticks no boxes for us, there isn’t a single box that he ticks as a player, if/when this goes through, it’s the straw that breaks the camels back. These sporting directors are destroying us. What a mess, what an absolute mess. There’s nothing to believe in here, if this goes through.
January 22, 20251 yr Clearly Mudryk cover/replacement. The last thing we need. Go and solve central midfield - it is a ticking timebomb.
January 22, 20251 yr Clearlake probably like this deal because Garnacho's agent is asking f**k all for his image rights
January 22, 20251 yr Get ready for it.... Alejandro Garnacho to #CFC, close! Understanding reached between player and Chelsea, 8.5 year contract with one year option agreed. Clubs close then Here We Go Soon! #MUFC #CFC #AGarnacho -@FabrizioBARomano

January 22, 20251 yr Buying a very expensive Argentinian player [that we don't really need] from Man Utd. What could possibly go wrong?
January 22, 20251 yr Football reasons aside, What species is this? Because it’s not a man or woman, and it looks like that thing that was Thanos’ sidekick in Infinity War.
January 22, 20251 yr Crazy to think this ownership sold CHO for £3m, but are considering dropping £60m on Garnacho. This must mean Mudryk is now a lost cause. £62m, banned for 2 years. Will still have another 3/4 years left on his death row contract, but I'd imagine it will be a loan and hope we can get something back for him. Lost faith in this ownership a long time ago. This will just be another chapter in wide range of mind boggling decisions.

January 22, 20251 yr Anyone watching PSG v City? Bradley Barcola is the one you wait and position yourself to pay big money for. One goal and one assist and the best player on the pitch. With them signing Kvaratskhelia who plays the same position he might be primed for a move. You want a bargain winger, Rayan Cherki at Lyon is available for £25m. Closest player to Hazard in world football presently.

We have been linked to Barcola last summer also Desire Doue, Olise, Gordon all who are more dynamic and bigger goal threats than what we decided to go with. Feels like we know what we what but aren’t willing to pay the wages.

Nobody had heard of Barcola or Doue, dismissed as 12 year olds from the French league that'll be sold for profit because 'clownlake bad', Gordon for £40m was laughable and Raphinha wasn't good enough.

It's an indication of how far we have fallen and the expectation levels of us fans now compared to then. Some people on here still think that Estevao and Paez are being brought here to form the basis of our future attack. Everybody is for sale on Clearlake's Farm.

If our clowns were good at their job, they would have got Barcola before PSG did, signed Olise, which takes the pressure off Estevao and gives him the opportunity to grow naturally, and we could have kept Hudson-Odoi as a squad player. That would be our wingers sorted for years. What they did though was sell Pulisic for cheap and sell Hudson-Odoi for basically nothing. We sign one of the biggest flops ever in Mudryk, who we only signed because we were worried Arsenal were going to sign a superstar, and a player that is now facing a lengthy ban for failing a drugs test. We signed 3 other wingers (Madueke, Sancho and Neto) that are nothing more than squad players for any top 6 side. We spent close to £200m on these wingers. Nobody can convince me we couldn't have signed both Barcola and Olise with that money with cash left over to spend on a proper f**king striker! When our clown owners say we must sell to comply with PSR, remember this. Edited January 23, 20251 yr by Scott Harris

Most on here were happy for CHO to leave also, some were even celebrating getting "rid of him". The amount of knee jerk hindsight on here lately is ridiculous, if we had signed any of them listed there would have been moaning and whining tat they were just more young players to sell blah blah yakkity yakkity....

Tbf, injuries were the reason here though (well, at least for the level headed fan), I mean, even now typing this, CHO is literally injured. Ever since the achillies it was pretty much over for him, but then we make the same mistake with Lavia thanks to these lot running the show. 🤦♂️

Not missed him? Have you seen our form since? He was by far our best attacker in cup competitions this season.

I liked the idea of getting either Barcola or Doue at the time, definitely against the Gordon transfer but what do I or any of us know we aren't paid vasts amounts of money to get it right. It doesn't matter if the whole forum hated the idea of buying Palmer, it was the correct decision, one of the few they've got right. The point being the men that matter, the men that make the decisions failed to accurately identify the best forwards. All the while the circus club PSG have changed to a similar youth centric philosophy as us, but somehow instantly found young players of quality. First time seeing João Neves who looked really good too. I hope to god that Estevao isn't a flop or we'll be scrapping the barrel for young forwards again.

The resistance to Gordon made sense at the time, as Tuchel had unfortunately proven he wasn’t the man to be involved in identifying targets. Starting to think the Palmer deal was just a case of a broken clock is right twice a day.
January 23, 20251 yr Yeah I remember there being actual concerns that Tuchel would've played Gordon or Raphinha at wingback.
