I did speculate a while back signing Nach could be to help fund United to sign Nkunku, which would remove our highest earner and a player Maresca does not want.

Would still be surprised if it happened though.

Distraction? Hopefully this is just smoke and mirrors while the real deal(s) don’t get the publicity. 

The press seem increasingly certain we’re signing Garnacho this month. And if we’re also working to sign 22 year old Yeremay Hernandez from Deportivo, then I think we are nailed on for the world record for young potentially talented wingers at one club since the game was invented. And still they say we have no history. We are always making history!!

Think im logging off until February.  I’m so done with our transfer calamities.

Has anyone told these clowns Antony is available? Maybe we could grease the wheels on that one too by sending them another player or two.

How about they give us Amad instead or we buy someone that at least gives us something of a goal threat,  Mbeumo?  Cunha?  Kudus?  Can’t see any of them costing much more.

How about a proper goalie and number 9 before spunking millions more on another promising young wideman which is puzzling as CHO left to Forest for 3 mill and is just as good as as this boy imo

We are going to end this window in a worse position than we started. 

We will still be a goalkeeper, centre back, and striker short of a serious team. Only now we will have another £60m ball and chain in Garnacho, whilst simultaneously strengthening a top 6 rival. 

Also moved on the left back cover, and are in the process of moving Casadei, and Chukwuemeka with an already light midfield.

Every day brings more drama. On the the plus side, we have another young centre back for the loan army, that was already at the feeder club??? and a 16 year old attacker from khasakstan for the youth team.

That chart seems to show the complete opposite in comparison to Willian. 

Garnacho has 18 goals since the start of last season, neto has 18 goals in his entire club career to date. I don't think they're comparable either. 

Seems more like a less polished Antony Gordon.

It would go down as one of the worst trade deals in history. I would genuinely rather see Maresca go than Nkunku 

Never seen a potential swap deal in history where both fans are utterly adamant they're getting the worst of it.

Wouldn't want Nkunku to go to United purely because he'd be wasting his time, United will be lucky to even be back in Europe (unless they sh*thouse a cup) while he's still in his prime, would be such a waste.

Yeah does seem a few United fans don't want Nach to leave. 

Maybe he is better than we give him credit for? Can but hope.

Move was always about the “swap” but both clubs have to play out like it isn’t exactly a swap but 2 separate deals. We were always going to throw either Nkunku or Chilwell the other way. With Antony seemingly going out on loan also, this deal seems very plausible.

Hmm, we will see. Am not sure Nkunku will go there. 

Wages shouldn't be an issue but our price might be, and he may not want to make that move even if we agree a deal.

Think it’s easier than we think; Utd want £70m, even at £60m it’s £60m of pure profit which could hypothetically bankroll £300m of signings on a 5yr deal. They can easily give us £70m for Nkunku and stick him on £300k/w 5yr contract. The annual amortisation on that will only be £29m. On Nkunku’s part he wants and needs to play to guarantee a World Cup spot especially with the uncertainty around Mbappe.

Getting Nkunku off the books and reducing the wage bill whilst bringing in a ridiculously high upside player like Garnacho seems like excellent business to me…

Nkunku is huge against the wage bill and does very little on the pitch against opposition that isn’t part time. Maresca doesn’t fancy him and there is no natural position for him in the lineup unless you sacrifice Palmer, which is never happening.

Garnacho has all the talent in the world he just needs the right environment which Utd will never be, it’s destroyed more established players before and will continue to do so. 
 

Win/Win for both parties, also it won’t be a ‘swap’ deal it’ll be a similar to the Gallagher/Felix debacle with Athletico. You pay us an inflated fee, we’ll pay you an inflated fee for PSR purposes.

What is an upside player? Is it a player who has potential to get better later in his career? If you have watched any football over the past few seasons you'll know Garnacho is a waster who isnt an upgrade on any of our current wingers. Jesus... Garnacho is a waste of money. 

 

In nearly three seasons at United, he has 13 goals, 11 Assists in the league. That's pants. Pants is another word for rubbish, rubbish is another word for trash. Garnacho is trash and if this transfer goes through, Im going to get his number printed on the back of a shirt with the letters "useless w**ker" on it.

I struggle to get excited about signing key players from a Utd side that has been terrible for years.  Granted, Sancho has shown some glimpses in blue, but you don't have to look too deep to question the overall quality.

Plus we've got Paez and Estevao incoming.  Give Felix more minutes and let the two incoming players have some time.
