Chelsea vs Everton (PL) Sat 26th Apr 12:30 GMT

Featured Replies

Got 0-0 or 1-1 written all over it. Hoping for another shock result though, just like last weekend down by the River. Fantastic news Marasca serving a touchline ban for this one has to help the team !

First of two visits to the Bridge over the weekend. Here's to a Blues double. Two tough games especially the one on Sunday.

Sunday is not tough mate... is basically impossible. The men have a better chance of qualifying for the CL.

There is not a women's team around who can overturn a 3 goal deficit to this Barca women's side, imo.

Depends which Chelsea show up....the one before December or the one now....a lot depends of which Everton show up also; the on the beach one or still trying to impress before moving into the new stadium.

Somehow I expect the worst scenario to happen. I also expect Everton to score first and to employ all time wasting tricks including fouls with one yellow card for Everton after 15 fouls, and an immediate red for our first foul.

With Cole Palmer and Nicolas Jackson both on long goal droughts, calls are growing for academy graduate George to be handed an opportunity from the start.

However, Enzo Maresca suggested on Friday that he will be cautious with the 19-year-old.

“We are excited with him, but now is the moment that you need to manage [young players] because too easy they can be excited and too easy they can be down,” the Chelsea boss said.

“Him and Josh Acheampong, both are from the academy. Both at the beginning of the season, they were looking for some different solution.

Meaning what ?

We have to endure another 60 minutes, effectively playing with 10 men, while wacko jacjo does everything but find the net or connect with a cross or make a telling run?

So, we've got to be careful with young players because they get " excited" ??

He's not a fan of excitement is he ,?

Yes, nigh impossible and this Barcelona team is good but we never know. A couple of quick Chelsea goals and could be one of the greatest ever comebacks at the Bridge.

Jackson starts.

Our World Class RB is on the bench so that our World Class CDM can make way for a man made of glass.

Looking for the positives here we’ve potentially only got 7 games left of this absolute muppet blagging a living as a football manager.

Lavia at RB is a weird one. I don't really get the fetish with playing the refusal to play a natural RB in his position, but oh well, I guess we have to get used to this inverted fullback madness.

I think it’s more likely Caicedo at RB who will invert alongside Lavia. Lavia plays no more than 60 mins, James comes on and Caicedo reverts to midfield.

Regardless, annoys me. As mentioned above, you have a world class right back in James on the bench, and pulling Caicedo out of his best position also.
