Same setup, PSG just aren’t underestimating us this time.

GK has killed us.

A formation is proof? It’s about the actual management, I suggest you rewatch the club world cup final, highlights of Sanchez are available in isolation, Maresca instructed him to go long. Tonight, Enzo was screaming at the keeper against Rosenior’s instructions.

I can't f**king believe what I've seen there. We barely deserved to lose it let alone concede 5. I'm fuming

Poor excuse for a manager picks a complete bum of a keeper and then surrenders the tie taking off Cole and Joao and bringing on delap.

Well done Liam.

Newcastle still have a chance, but the teams trailing by 3 are certainly up against it.

Must admit I didn't see the PL turning in 2 draws and 4 defeats (3 of them heavy) as a collective in their first legs

Not even upsetting or frustrating any more. Hope and expectation are non grata in my current relationship with the club. The only consolatory feeling is of schadenfreude seeing the stupid yanks fleeced for a billion squid by unscrupulous clubs and agents flogging them donkeys for the price of purebred arabian stallions.

Infuriating defeat, it should never have been 5-2. Howlers from the entire defence and Rosenior cost us the entire tie. We could have taken a 3-2 defeat back to the bridge, I would have accepted it, but we just completely self destructed and threw the entire tie away. PSG smelt blood with those changes and they took full advantage. It's one of the worst defeats we have had in a long time, a really painful one to accept.

Don't ever let the so called professionals tell you the fans know nothing, because we do. I could have told anybody a year ago that playing PSG in a Champions League last 16 tie would end in disaster if we played Jorgensen in goal, we all could have, because it's so obvious. The guy struggled with the basics against Conference League teams for f**k sake.

Yup, Newcastle have a chance but the rest of us are out.

That disallowed Oshimen goal and arsenals dive pen means they go through imo

With LRs game management and his use of Sanchez or Jorgensen playing out from the back its almost impossible for us against any top team.

PSG were far from perfect yet we would have needed Six to beat them tonight. A tall order for prime palmer and prime JPedro.

LR has so little relevant experience its hard to see how he can progress from this. The second leg is stone dead. What a waste. Im not sure what scenario for bringing on Delap for JP exists, really puzzling.

If he keeps bringing Delap on his season will burst into life eventually? er no not in our lifetime. Jorgensen seemed to fail to dive or stretch his arms out for several of the goals, too focused on messing about with his feet.

Nothing will change LR doesnt have any other options in his limited playbook.

I think it's also a bit about the different conditions. The extreme heat at the CWC played into our hands tactically. Tonight PSG could play their high energy pressing for the whole 90 minutes.

Newcastle are done out there mate. Howe and Tyndall are good domestic managers but they haven't got the nous for these foreign teams in their own back yards. They are just not cute enough to get results. Bit like our plum really

Tie is done, played okish at times. I’ve growing reservations over the manager at this stage but he’s set up to fail in some ways. Anyway onto the top 5 and Fa cup.

Maresca had finally understood that Sanchez was useless on the ball and started to go for long balls. With LR, we’ve regressed as he’s dead set in using the keeper and short passes to play from the back. That’s what killed us tonight, him asking the defenders and keeper to play tikitaka.

After putting in so much effort and playing so well for 70 + minutes, to lose 5-2 really hurts. Tie is over when we should be going back to The Bridge level. The team Individual errors cost us dearly yet again. The 11 were clearly tiring but there were so few options on the n[bench whereas PSG were able to change the game with their subs. So disappointing. Getting a Top Level Keeper in for next season looking like a priority again.

Not surprised. Arsenal steamrolling the league really shows how the quality has gone down

Also when we have other leagues given their teams weekends off ahead of European games while we are playing mid week every other week it really shows the PLs priorities are only money

He is exactly what we all thought.a classroom manager up himself. Yet when he gets anywhere near a critical game he falls flat on his face. We'll beat Port Vale get to the semi final and he'll fck that up as well.

I guess that where we really are under BlueCo is bang average. If the aim is only to make a Champions League place every season, it's pretty sh*te for the next few years.

We played same team against PSG in Club wc final except Sanchez and Liyi colwill. Its Goal Keeper and game Management that f**ked us big time. One thing to notice in that Final Sanchez was instructed not to start from back but whack the ball as far as possible. We turned over when needed and scored 3 beautiful goals. Lot of this blame goes on to inexperienced amature manager 😠

Which is why I am completely at ease, almost encouraging even, the notion of not finishing in a Champions League place.

These f**kers should not be vindicated for how they've mismanaged us. I want their wallets hurt.
