If we manage to overturn this deficit (4-1 at the bridge, win on pens), it will go down as one of the greatest comebacks ever, but it never should have got this bad.

Hard not to blame Rosenior here as he severed all momentum by subbing off Pedro and Palmer. It's not the tactics, it's signalling that you think the game is over which is the one thing you don't do to a strong but mentally-fragile team like PSG. Both the team and the stadium visibly lifted again once those two came off because even after conceding the 3rd, PSG's defenders were a hapless mismatch against them.

Jorgensen never, ever should have started. He is not a top-flight keeper, let alone a Champions' League one. The politics of this choice will no doubt also affect Sanchez.

One thing that frustrates me about PSG is that they are a laundry list of players that should have been at Chelsea. We had free runs at Dembele, Barcola, Kvaratshkelia long before PSG got involved.

Anyway, there is still hope. We are more than capable of beating them 3-0 or 4-1 or whatever it takes.

In the end I think it just got too much for Jorgensen. He got to eighty minutes, score was 2-2, game was under control, we looked more likely if anything, then he just went and played the most stupid pass imaginable.

It was like his brain clicked in and said “remember you’re really sh*t, you can’t do this short pass nonsense, now’s the time to prove it”. And he did what his brain told him. Then he did it again just for the sake of it. Just bizarre.

I thought Rosenior might be tactically naive but we were told that he’s a great man manager. Well now he’s ruined the confidence of both our keepers just as we approach a crucial run in. It’s really not a good look, and I can’t imagine what he thinks he’s doing.

We got enough problems on the pitch without messing around with the goalkeeping position which was actually looking pretty stable for once.

that was harsh. predictable but harsh. Enrique is a world class manager. Liam is not.

Sanchez - despite everything - is our best keeper. Shot stopping, etc.

Reece James is a football god. Cole Palmer is excellent.

Enzo Fernandez is a great player - despite what you lot think.

That was harsh. but the reality is . . . Chelsea are inconsistent. lol. Oh we did try

Just watched the game. Terrible result. At 2-2 we were in it, but a terrible mistake and final 8 mins had all but ended it.

At our best, which we only get in moments, there is much to like.

But all too often the naivety, lack of discipline, and decision making costs this side. Second goal was poor of Trev to dive in so far upfield (reminded me of Fulham earlier in season only that goal was overturned) and Fofana never got close enough. Third goal is another goalie calamity. Then poor subs for me, and a team that just didn’t stay tight enough.

Tonight showed what we all know. Goalkeeper and center backs are just not good enough. I don’t think Neto is either despite his nice assist. And LR got the subs wrong for me, and enough of James in midfield. Right back, and put faith in Lavia or Santos.

Disappointing. Same old Chelsea.

We were even linked to their manager at some point too

Agree with that.

I actually felt at 2-2 we were relatively comfortable. Then the terrible mistake by Jorgensen and that goal handed the initiative to them. Which they took.

Game ‘ran away from us’ in the last 15 mins or so.

0.87xg and we let 5 in. It really sums up just what an utter disaster we were

It also shows there's no substitute for individual quality. PSG were efficient with their chances because they have top class players in almost every position, attack especially. The clowns in charge of CFC are all about XG, that's how they've been building this squad the whole time. Must be nice to constantly look at the stats and beat every team in the universe in your virtual reality world of stats and numbers. We have a saying in Russia that goes something like " The plan looked smooth on paper, but they forgot about potholes". That's what happens when you have incompetent morons who mistake their arrogance for actual knowledge of the game, who spent somebody else's money on youngsters with great stats and managers with no resume who are learning on the job. In fact that's all of them, owners who never owned a football club, sporting directors that should work as used car salesmen and "players with potential", they're all simultaneously learning the job and we're witnessing it in real time. Lucky us.

Should have wrapped this up the first half with the chances we had let alone those in the 2nd only to collapse and sh*t a brick . Jorgensen was getting away with iffy goalkeeping with his fancy footwork and suicidal passing and as we said while watching this would come and bite him and us in the arse….and it did. PSG aren’t that good defensively they just took all their chances. LS thought he could outdo PSG because he played them several times while at Strasbourg with his stupid line up from the goalkeepers to our clown show of a defence. It never changes, it only gets more comical as every week passes.

Gusto and CC are not defenders and I’m not sure why Trev and and especially Forfana have fallen off a cliff. CC spent more time in the PSG box than he did defending ours. I wish people would start looking at his game rather than through rose tinted glasses….he's a sh*t defender. Reece is in the wrong position and it’s the same sh*te defensively every week. A big fcuking clear out is needed in goalkeepers and defenders in the summer.

A mix of frustration and anger. Was never a 5-2 game. We had many occasions where we could scored a few and then a crazy last 10 minutes completely changed the game. I struggle to see how we overturn it. Not because we need to just make up 3 goals. We have seen it happen in the past, however more to do that we now play a tough game on Saturday whilst PSG have a whole week off, due to Ligue 1 postponing their upcoming fixture.

To the game, thought Neto was very good. Caused a lot of problems. Enzo played well too. Team did in general. What annoyed me was the subs. Another game where Rosenior made subs to kind of preserve what we had and it ended up backfiring. I thought Garnacho should have come on earlier, with how stretched the game was. We were causing them issues out wide and on that big pitch, this is the type of game Garnacho could have made a real impact.

Really frustrating because the scoreline suggests we got Spurs'd but we never. Just lapses in concentration. Keeper hugely at fault but is it their fault when the manager constantly keeps implying on playing out from the back. Stick with your philosophy, however sometimes respect the opposition.

One of those games you can't get out of your head and I'm going to be mulling it over all day. At 2-2 we looked comfortable(ish) and even 2-3 would have been a decent result. Just how we capitulated is so annoying, but so Chelsea.

Two big errors cost us, first Jorgensen and then Reece James and that's the margins when you are playing against sides as good as PSG.

Even their second goal, errors by Chalobah and then poor defending by Fofana.

We could have done with Palmer having one of "those" games, but although he did okay, he's still not reaching previous levels. In the first couple of seasons, he had this thing where although he doesn't have great pace, he just used to get away from opponents and make himself a yard or two. Now it just doesn't seem to happen. Probably still down to him needing surgery but boy, a fully functional Palmer would make such a difference.

This playing from the back is absolutely annoying. I hate it. It doesnt work and it always costs us. Always. But still the coaches keep forcing keepers to play from the back in every game despite costing us so many times. I dont blame the keepers for the mistakes bse it is clearly not how they would want to play.

This style of play that has infected the EPL is down to one man…Pep. He’s f**ked this league and it’s even creeping into the lower leagues. This brain dead playing out from the back, possession for possession sake and suicidal passing has infected every team and it’s ruined the English game. I’d won’t be sorry when he’s gone and no doubt a new fad will be brought in or a rehashed old one. This game is simple yet every coach or manager has made it so technical and strategic that no brain dead footballers can understand.

And Pep has moved on from the tactics. Not satisfactorily yet but that will probably come. Meanwhile, the dolts persist.

It was Pep and this rule change the following season after his arrival. Defensive players can be in the box for goal kicks.

There was a point during the later stages of the match where the TV camera showed our subs warming up.

That was a real eye opener and says everything about our recruitment.

The only one I looked at and didn’t mind coming on was our holding midfielder Lavia.

Those were our game changer options - sad times indeed.

The forward options were Delap, Guiu and Garnacho. £75m spent on fees and £260K a week on wages for those three duds.

Forgot what pundit said it but they were spot on.

They said Rosenior was tasked to win the game from the starting XI, because if both clubs looked to their depth it was game over.

As a few have said this just feels like a missed opportunity.

Despite scoring 2 we were not clinical enough and PSG punished us every time.

Those are the fine margins when playing the best of the best.

With Sanchez in goal I feel he saves 2 of the goals. He could have had a brianfart like the 3rd goal, we know it is possible, but the goals that took the tie away from us I feel he has a good chance at saving.

Garnacho should have been the first sub on if he wasnt going to start, to leave it until 83rd minute before he changed it when players all over the pitch were struggling shows this bloke is out of his depth, Arteta subbed Saka yesterday with 30 minutes to go because he was crap, they ended up getting a draw

How this game ended 5-2? At 70 mins we’re comfortable, crowd silenced, PSG largely blunted and wary of our forward threat. We’d took the game to them and largely it had worked. A few errors but we’ve got used to that. Then the self destruction, Jorgensen reminded us he’s sh1t and Reece dwelt on the ball too long, both punished by quality. Even at 4-2 we’re still in the tie…so shut the game down , keep a forward threat …taking both Joao and Palmer off at the same time was a mistake. The game was still manageable. We of course thought differently, get involved in a melee, lose concentration and suddenly the tie is put beyond us. We gave them a game but forgot it’s a two legged tie, naive in the upmost from both team and coach.
