Completely understand. Before today I was telling myself "as long as we don't get humiliated I'll be happy".

We didn't get humiliated, but I'm still in pain.

Just found out this is our 5th wembely final loss in a row without scoring a goal.

Well we didn’t embarrass ourselves. But we offered nothing upfront. We needed a bit of quality and it was nowhere to be found. City paid for quality and that was the difference today.

In the end we did well just to still be in the game after 70 mins. And that’s about the limit of our ambition.

Cherki cost them £30m + £6m potential add ons.

That is a penalty, it looked like a pen on the ground but seeing it here is just ridiculous that they didn’t give it.

It helps when the referee has previously worked for UAE…not that I’m saying it influence’s decisions

Still hurts. I'm surprised it does. I guess even blueco cannot kill off my love for the FA Cup.

Even going in fully expecting to lose this is still hurts.

It's different than previous times for some reason. I think I have just gotten used to this club doing this.

The story of Sporting Directors...

They signed Cherki fot £30m + £6m potential add ons. We signed Garnacho for £40m.
Semenyo was born in Chelsea and signed to City for £64 million.
We signed Gittens for £48.5 million, with £3.5 million in add ons.
We signed Mudryck for £62 million.

It is really important to have knowledgeable Sporting Directors.

Sure. We as well as anyone should understand that there is most likely ‘additional payments’ related to the signing.

Due to some every odd circumstances, I didn’t see all the game. But losing I assumed would be more than acceptable to many as any success under BlueCo would be undesirable. Bit of a Catch 22 situation perhaps..

On the penalty none calls on Joao Pedro and Hato.

Both were the type of fouls given everywhere else just not in the box, as we saw with Caicedo getting booked later.

Cole probably would have missed given how useless he has been anyway.

The game went as expected, cagey final game. The scoreline flattered us, City would have gone 2 up earlier if not for the lack of final touches on several occasions, Cherki evidently drove a few of their guys crazy. The gulf between the 2 sides is quite evident, and to be honest unless a couple of our players put out a 10/10 game, we had little chance.

At the end of last season, our ownership rewarded their SD's with extended contracts in recognition of the great job they are doing. ..

The useless job they are doing is all part of the owners useless "project '.

I'm not happy about what we have become.

A game where we are being congratulated for putting in an effort, working hard, and basically not getting thrashed. Palmer worked his bo**ocks off, but had to sacrifice his talent in the process..

City have destroyed football with their turgid football style, and we acted and played like massive underdogs, hoping for a break. FFS Everton rattled in 3 goals against them recently. .

Shoulda had a penalty though.

i read their PR statement . . .

Stewart is in charge of "style of play and football philosophy"

Stewart is in charge of "style of play and football philosophy" --- Despite his title, Stewart’s role is more akin to a technical director. He is responsible for budget planning and style of play and football philosophy. That has included setting a broad style of football that Chelsea want their academy and first teams to play, so there is continuity throughout the club.

Stewart started his football career in analysis, working for City and England at the 2014 World Cup, and that remains an area he works on at Chelsea. Like Winstanley, Stewart’s other responsibilities include medical and the pair share a close working relationship."

I would like the club to employ the Rising sun as the Director of "what the fcucck" are they talking about.

The players showed up - which is more than they have done for most of the season

We had a chance to sign Cherki in 2023, like Desire Doue and Bradley Barcola the club's Abramovich-era scouts had been tracking French players from their teens. Likely the first-choice plan was to sign Cherki and Olise, rather than Palmer.
