The most poignant thing that I've read today regarding our success, was that Roman walked into the away dressing room after the game to congratulate all the players, but said ''This is only the beginning''....

That's the way he always does/did it, and it does seem to work for him.

Even on his free kicks he does not take a big run up.

Hats off to him, think we should have had a penalty but nothing amazingly stone-wall like against Barca in 2009. Pretty much got the bookings right, Luiz on another night could have perhaps seen red, justified or not... but he didn't. Well done ref, deserves his gold medal too.

...or whatever colour medal refs get.

I must admit I thought the run up was too short and was yelling at the TV screen to take a bigger run up maybe thats why I am not the one of the best strikers in the world.

if anything is a farce its the last penalty taker on thier list, manuel neuer, shooting second (or 3rd cant remember), because their whole team chickened out. their media should blast their whole gutless team.

bottlers even arsenal would be envious of. at home ground, whole stadium painted red, 7 minutes till the end you take the lead, cant hold on for 4 minutes, get a penalty in extra time, miss that, and top it off by not having the guts to step up and take the penalty.

I really loved watching this. Much like I was during the shootout..

Cundy is such a legend, I wish he still did the commentary, so many games I've actually hoped it was Cundy commentating because his reactions are absolutely priceless.

"SHUT UP! SHUT UP! LET HIM DO THIS, THIS IS HIS DESTINY!"

Cundy was always the best on the commentry, used to watch repeat games just for his celebrations.

I remember when we knocked the bin dippers out the CL a few years ago and Lampard scored that penalty his celebration was quality!

Roman has shown he has the 'common touch' as well by purchasing his sunglasses from a petrol station. The man is surely untouchable from a blue perspective, he's driven us forward to win the lot, not to mention the fact that he's raised a son who is Chelsea.

Think he got his shades at teh same plalce he got his wee digital watch.

When I seen us win the ZDS cup way back , I thought that would take some beating.
