I'm prepared to be shot down and know i'm in the minority but I really think we should get in for Benteke.

I think he'd be a reverse Torres, he is vastly under-appreciated at Liverpool because he doesn't suit the playing style of their current manager which is fine but more importanly he didn't even fit the style of the manager that was in position when they bought him.

I believe Liverpool slightly overpaid for him at the time but due to the market inflation, he now imo represents good value if they are as reported looking to recoup the same fee.

The guy is 25, PL proven and had a very impressive record (1 in 2) at a consistently terrible Villa and even has a 1 in 3 record at Liverpool.

I think he is bordering on a no-brainer deal at £30m when you consider the likes of Morata or Lukaku are touted at double that.

Look at this video, pretend you can't see the name, shirts or don't know the club he is currently employed at. All you know is this footage is of a PL striker that's 25 and you can grab him today for £30m. Good deal right?

He won't like to be on the bench for Costa despite the fact that even Batshuayi is better than him on current form. I don't even want Pelle, but if we have interest in Benteke then I won't mind us going to China to bring back Pelle instead.

When we were linked last year it was reported his buy out clause is £30m. Not sure why Porto of all teams would accept anything less. Great player though and is a born leader.

Reports say we are battling Arsenal for Turan. I would love to have him here but we shouldn't spend more than 20m to get him considering his age.

Secondly Fabregas is a massive asset. Conte will see that. Yes he has weaknesses, but he can pass a football in a way that only Kroos, Iniesta and perhaps Veratti can in world football. Give him some defensive cover ie. Kante and play to his strengths. If we do that we can win the league again.

It's lazy journalism, there were rumours that Cesc is surplus to requirements here so the papers automatically link him with his previous manager. The line in paper talk even said 'Manchester United could target Cesc Fabregas if he is deemed surplus to requirements at Chelsea'. It's full of ifs, buts and Maybe's, just shows you that most of the talk in the papers is absolute bollocks.

Not the most reliable of sources at the moment, but he looks like he could go on to be one of the world's best, I'd be very excited to see him here. Him and gabriel Jesus are probably the most exciting Brazilian prospects at the moment.

I've seen him multiple times at youth level and a couple of times on international level. He's good, but the amount of hype the guy gets is ridiculous. Brasil is probably just so devoid of top class strikers right now that they hype up their best prospect to the status of a new Rivaldo...

 

Don't think he's worth it, but well... Prices are ridiculous as it is, so who am I to say what the justifiable price is? If Morata is going for 60-70 mln, than wel...

As has been stated on a few on the threads €30mil this year was last year's €20mil.

We are definitely the team that Brazilians want to join, can't think of many epl teams that have had success with Brazilians. Countinho at Liverpool is good but there haven't been many recently.

Had a dream last night that we sold Rahman and signed Yohan Cabaye (I only remember the former because Cabaye was wearing #6). We had a new left-back as well but I can't remember who it was.
