Atletico calling out Barcelona for tapping up Alvarez.

I swear ever since the whole Raphina/Kounde ordeal Barca have been behaving as if their sh*t doesn't stink.

No tap up provisions exist, good luck enforcing that

Under the old rules, the current club could go to FIFA prior to the player moving and seek the tribunal to restrain them + impose sporting sanctions on the buying club

Under the new rules, the current club can only seek punishment in retrospective if they can prove inducement, to a civil law standard, in FIFA's tribunal, but this decision is subject to appeals in the national court as well. Essentially 1-2 year process at best.

Rodgers seems incredibly overpriced.

Genuinely what we need, especially if it's to replace Enzo. Can play CAM or at LW. We'd also be getting him at an age where he'd start developing more consistency. With Arsenal and City interested we have no shot though. They'll offer Champions League and higher wages.

Cheaper alternative (an arguably just as good) would be Everton's Ndiaye.

Maresca plots raid on Chelsea for key £31m defender as Ma...

Maresca wants a key Chelsea player at Man City 👀 #MCFC #CFC

Did Maresca watch any of the games he managed last year? Malo was beyond useless in that ridiculous inverted role he insisted on.

Some reports suggesting Alonso wants to bring in Gonzalo Garcia from Real Madrid. Goal contribution every 130 minutes in the limited time he had at Real last season.

Anyone actually watch him last season not including the Club World Cup?

Jackson we've all had enough of, Delap is an abomination, Guiu still very raw, and Emegha looks worse than Jackson.

Delap to Newcastle and we'll take Woltemade, ST sorted then

There are rumours now about Besiktas being interested in taking Nicolas Jackson on loan, and honestly… I wouldn’t be against it under the right conditions.

If there’s an option to buy included, even better. I still think Jackson has qualities, but right now we need more consistency in front of goal.

The key thing though is that somebody HAS to come in first. Because going into the season with João Pedro and another proper striker rotating actually sounds fine to me.

And before people mention Delap again — sorry, but I’m not counting on him at all right now. I’m not even sure Xabi Alonso could revive him immediately 😅

Jackson probably needs a reset somewhere with less pressure and more confidence. Turkey could honestly suit him pretty well.

I watched a lot of him during the CWC. He was like a classic goal poacher type of striker from what I saw. He also had a few decent link up moments and works hard. He's like a more refined Marc Guiu.

Hard to tell how good he really is though based on that tournament alone.

Rumour of Andrea Cambiaso from Juve gathering a bit of pace.

We’d probably have to pay a similar fee as we get from Cucu but I think Cambiaso is more suited to Alonso’s use of wing backs.

I’d be all for this.

I wouldn't.

Alonso gets sacked (which could very well happen) we are stuck with a player who's too sh*t to be a fullback and too sh*t to be a winger.

Seems to divide opinion among Juve fans too, some of which are all in the consensus he isn't good enough for a sh*t Juve team.

A 26yr old wingback from Serie A, what could go wrong?

Alonso wanted him at Madrid and if he’s prepared to go for him again then at least we’ll know that Alonso has some actual clout in transfers.

I can’t trust the SD’s so all my faith is going on Alonso and if Cambiaso is good enough for him then I’m all for it.

Having said all that it’s probably bullsh*t anyway.

Signing Konate would be a big mistake the guy is pants, overhyped by playing alongside peak Van Dijk and even then he was average. The only attribute he learned from VVD is tackling by pushing players. Like buying Tosin with triple the wages.

Don’t worry, there is 0 chance we are involved in this deal.

I do not watch Serie A at all, but I know that at some point maybe last summer City were rumoured to be interested in Cambiaso and I thought I would check Juventus' social media platforms to have an idea on what type of player he is. The guy gets Garnacho levels of hate from the Juventus fanbase.

Worrying.

Ditto from what little I've seen of him in La Liga.

Just our luck to have the owners finally give some say to the manager and having a top manager to boot, only for said manager to be terrible at player recruitment and scouting.

Alonso comes across very intelligent.

Managers don't have much say at Real Madrid. What we do know is that with Modric leaving, Alonso knew the midfield was going to lose a lot of control, hence why he pushed for Zubimendi and Stiller. These are the only players that were confirmed he pushed for per credible sources.

I was mainly joking no one really knows if Alonsos' player knowledge is good or not, just more pessimistic Chelsea banter. Although Zubimendi has got dropped for a teenage left back so there is that, but maybe that's down to not being good in the Arteta set piece scrum.
