January 31, 201412 yr To be fair, I would be disinterested if I was playing for Fulham, let alone if that Dutch geezer was my manager. His decision to go there he could of gone to Fiorentina.
February 3, 201412 yr I guess something did go down... @BayernFansIntl: Kicker: Draxlers move to Arsenal was almost finalized - However a last minute call from FC Bayern president Uli Hoeness blocked the transfer
February 3, 201412 yr I guess something did go down... Bayern are basically buying the Bundesliga, Reus is next!
February 4, 201412 yr It is a little sad, mostly unfortunate, that Bayern are practically buying all the best players in the Bundesliga. ... Yet they always seem to struggle like mad whenever they play Chelsea.
February 4, 201412 yr Bayern are the Man City of Germany when it comes to grabbing players and look what we have just done to them lol
February 4, 201412 yr In 2005 Rummenigge or Hoeness had all sorts to say about our transfer policy and pursuit of players from our domestic rivals Then they proceeded to field a team with three players poached from the Leverkusen side of the early 2000s, their only serious rival
February 4, 201412 yr In 2005 Rummenigge or Hoeness had all sorts to say about our transfer policy and pursuit of players from our domestic rivals Then they proceeded to field a team with three players poached from the Leverkusen side of the early 2000s, their only serious rival They're frequently having pops at Man City these days. Not sure if they've said anything about us recently. Bunch of self-righteous hypocrites.
February 4, 201412 yr well kahn had the nerve to say we bought the champions league the other day...and they haven't?!
February 4, 201412 yr My one rule is that everyone in football is happy to be a hypocrite when it comes down to it. Principle is nothing. That said I still don't think we do enough harvesting of the best players from our own league. It's a good strategy. Has worked for United for years as well.
February 4, 201412 yr Uli Hoeness, president of Bayern Munich, the European football champions, has been formally charged with tax evasion Well I never. The upholders of all that is great being caught with there hands in the till. See Barcelona also. Oh and Arsenals erm "clever" way of getting into the top league many years ago. And George Graham.
February 4, 201412 yr Well I never. The upholders of all that is great being caught with there hands in the till. See Barcelona also. Oh and Arsenals erm "clever" way of getting into the top league many years ago. And George Graham. Is that for real? Barca now Bayern? This season is just glorious. I don't mind the old establishment, in fact some even count us among them since we've been at the top for a decade, but it's the sanctimonious preaching that gets me. At least Chelsea is proud to be a pantomime villain. I love being the bad guys.
February 4, 201412 yr well kahn had the nerve to say we bought the champions league the other day...and they haven't?! That was just the media dramatizing things. He actually said that we had bought the champs league just like Bayern, Barca, etc. So nothing really controversial there!
February 4, 201412 yr I guess u dont have to worry about big bad Bayern :P @BundesligaSpot: Via @benny_berger: #S04 chairman Clemens Tonnies: "I categorically rule out that Julian Draxler will sign for #FCBayern in the summer." #AFC
February 5, 201412 yr It is a little sad, mostly unfortunate, that Bayern are practically buying all the best players in the Bundesliga. ... Yet they always seem to struggle like mad whenever they play Chelsea. Reminds me of a certain 'squeaky clean' Spanish side.
February 20, 201412 yr Doing the rounds that we have made Javier Zanetti an offer for next season with a view to going into coaching with us .
February 20, 201412 yr We're reportedly interested in Sagna http://www.theguardian.com/football/2014/feb/20/football-transfer-rumour-mill-bacary-sagna-arsenal-chelsea
February 20, 201412 yr Same kind of guy as Ivanovic -- very good defensively, but very poor going forward (although there have been improvements!) Sounds like an odd rumor to make up
February 20, 201412 yr Same kind of guy as Ivanovic -- very good defensively, but very poor going forward (although there have been improvements!) Sounds like an odd rumor to make up Indeed. Ivan/Sagna our right-backs, Azpi/Shaw as our left backs next season? (Cole has no future, clearly) .
February 21, 201412 yr Sagna??? God no!!! Would rather we promoted a youngster then see him join us. I would only accept Zanetti on a coaching only role. Rumours of player/coach doing the rounds are ridiculous. Undoubtedly talented but he's f**king 40 years old!!! We've seen 30yr old players who move to the PL and not being able to adjust. Doubt he would offer us anything baring experience for our youngsters Also read that Spuds want Bamford in the summer. I appreciate he probably isnt going to walk into our first team but if he continues to have a good season then I'd like to see him loaned to a PL club next year.
February 21, 201412 yr Considering out policy of only offering players over 30 1 year contracts I can't see Sagna wanting to join us or us abandoning that rule just to bring him in.
February 21, 201412 yr Monaco could be set to make a move for Chelsea striker Fernando Torres this summer, [football] direct news understands.<br />The big-spending Ligue 1 side brought in a number of high-profile names this season, and are ready to do so again as they look to close the gap on Paris Saint-Germain in the French top flight.<br />With Claudio Ranieri's side somewhat reliant on Radamel Falcao upfront, and the Colombian now facing a long spell out with injury, new additions upfront look to be a priority, with Torres indentified as a realistic option.<br />The Spaniard has not managed to reach his best form in a Chelsea shirt, and has long been linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge after failing to live up to his £50million price tag.<br />"The latest I've heard is that there's interest from Monaco," a Chelsea insider revealed. "I think if Jose (Mourinho) makes some changes to the squad this summer, you'd think the striker department is where he'd start.<br />"If a good enough offer comes in, I think he'll go, and Monaco may be more willing than some to pay a big fee for him."
