May 3, 201610 yr It's damn near 80m isn't it? Someone will be getting a cut price deal on Mangala most likely Arsenal will probably pay 30mil for him! Lol
May 4, 201610 yr but didn't laporte break his leg and is still out for another couple months? seems a bit silly from city to splash so much money without seeing how he recovers. a top young talent for sure, but very premature to get a signing sewn up.

Fractured his tibula so it looks like he'll be out for a while. Look what happened when we spent £50m on Torres after coming back from injury. I say let City splash the cash and hope he isn't the same player after the injury.
May 4, 201610 yr Would love Greizmann, he's a belter of a player and scores for fun. I'd imagine he will be over £40 million given they spent 30 on him. Wonder who will move for him this summer?
May 4, 201610 yr Hard to see Griezmann leaving the potential European champs for us. He'd be a top signing though. Interesting that City are after Laporte. If that made Mangala available for a reasonable price, a left footed defender would be handy, particularly with JT (expert on that left side despite being right footed) leaving.

Yeah I don't think we would be an option for him. Atletico tend to sell one big player every season so I could see him moving if they get a silly bid.
May 4, 201610 yr Greizmann is a strange one as never impresses me when I see him, but always comes up with a goal or two lol.
May 10, 201610 yr "Chelsea have been given a boost after news emerged that Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Borussia Dortmund have failed to agree a new deal, according to the Mirror. The attacking midfielder has just one year remaining on his contract and so far has reportedly refused to sign an extension without a buyout clause, as Dortmund have insisted upon."-via ESPN
May 10, 201610 yr would be a good signing. i think he's a no.10, so maybe oscar or some other would be sold. he's got great stats for goals/assists this season too.
May 10, 201610 yr Can't see Dortmund losing Hummels, Mkhitaryan and the striker who I can never spell in the summer.
May 10, 201610 yr if he can get a better contract offer coming to us, then see no reason why he wouldn't consider it. we were apparently in for him a couple seasons back too, so obviously been monitoring his situation.
May 10, 201610 yr Considering Ancelotti's record with centre backs, it's quite terrifying to think what he can do with Hummels.
May 10, 201610 yr Hummels done deal to Bayern. 35 mil euros Hummels fee is undisclosed, Renato Sanches cost 35m euros... kick in the teeth for United, the paper talk was that Sanches would join United Will be interesting to see who leaves Bayern, Benatia and Alonso to Chelsea? Thanks for the correction mate. Haha also glad utd were left disappointed. In all honesty, I wouldn't be against Alonso coming here :), Benatia? not too sure.
May 10, 201610 yr Benatia would be a good signing and he would come cheap as well. Very similar to JT. I'd take him in a heartbeat. Strategically it would make sense as well. He's almost 30 so he won't be blocking the set of young CBs we have for long. He'll also have that experience we're losing with JT gone. I can't imagine he'll make a high salary (relatively) or have a high transfer fee either. The biggest negative to signing him would be he's not top class as Bonucci or others may be so assuming we don't sign more than one CB we'd be going to war with Cahill, Benatia, Ivan and a recovering Zouma. May 10, 201610 yr What do you guys think about Janmat from NewCastle ? With Newcastle potentially getting relegated I think their players will be available on the cheap. JanMat also has premier League experience. Also alowing Janmat to play as RB will allow us to play Azpi back in LB and Ivanovich can be a CB or a bench player.
May 10, 201610 yr As part of a new commitment to sign hard-working, devoted players and to avoiding those with attitude problems, we're apparently looking at signing Ben Arfa: http://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/sport/chelsea-add-ben-arfa-to-list-of-targets-0q8dt6cdr?acs_cjd=true Edited May 10, 201610 yr by PloKoon13

Sign relegated players ? no thanks, we can do better than that.
May 12, 201610 yr Sign relegated players ? no thanks, we can do better than that. I respect your point - but do consider this 1. Just because a team is relegate does not mean that all their players are pathetic. 2. He was their player of the year last season 3. He is younger (26) and faster than Ivanovic and he is also tall and strong. I see your point that we can try and get an RB who is better established in a team that is probably more fortuitous and has also made a name for himself, but if we are planning on discount shopping he will be a safe bet to buy.
