April 10, 201610 yr he'll be right at home with italian league's slowpoke lethargic football £4mil + a bag of doritos
April 11, 201610 yr I know he's had a bad season but is it really logical to get rid? He brings experience too.
April 11, 201610 yr I know he's had a bad season but is it really logical to get rid? He brings experience too. That experience is meaningless if he cant be trusted to perform on the pitch.
April 11, 201610 yr That experience is meaningless if he cant be trusted to perform on the pitch.First 2 months aside, ivanovic has been one of our better players the last 4-6 months, he is a leader and a good one at that, he is nowhere near being one of the under performers
April 11, 201610 yr First 2 months aside, ivanovic has been one of our better players the last 4-6 months, he is a leader and a good one at that, he is nowhere near being one of the under performers What have you been watching? He's been one of the worst performers of the season along with Hazard and Matic

He's been one of the worst performers of the season along with Hazard and MaticHe really hasnt though, hes a scapegoat, ye the first two months he was all over the place, but after his injury he has been in good form, not to his standard of last year but not anywhere near what most say,
April 11, 201610 yr First 2 months aside, ivanovic has been one of our better players the last 4-6 months, he is a leader and a good one at that, he is nowhere near being one of the under performers I liked Branna last year even though he got a lot of unfair stick. He wasn't perfect but he was a key player for us. This season he's just looked very off. Passes are lazy, he's not been tracking back as much and he looks like he aged over the summer. I don't get this sense that he's a leader either, not when you've had players like JT and Lamps in recent years. I thought his performance at Swansea was one of the worst I've seen in a while as well and when you're looking for someone to set the tone for the rest of the players, he was nowhere to be found. If there's a decent bid for him then I'd say it's time to go.
April 11, 201610 yr idk about him being a good leader, never showed the impression of him having leadership quality at all, i remember one time ivanovic overlaps, lose the ball, as usual too slow to sprint back leaving a huge hole on the right but thankfully zouma's there stopping the counter and somehow for some reason he got mad and yelled at kurt? jose also said last season that there are three leaders in the locker room JT, drogs, and cesc
April 11, 201610 yr First 2 months aside, ivanovic has been one of our better players the last 4-6 months, he is a leader and a good one at that, he is nowhere near being one of the under performers Wow. I'll have some of what you are drinking buddy!
April 11, 201610 yr He really hasnt though, hes a scapegoat, ye the first two months he was all over the place, but after his injury he has been in good form, not to his standard of last year but not anywhere near what most say, So he's been in good form but not as good as he was last year... yet not as bad as most would say. I think most would rate him as poor or average at best barring that absolute DISASTER of a start. So if he's been average (a generous assessment IMO) since the injury then all together he's been well below average. That's unacceptable, what is going to change that he's going to actually improve on last season rather than repeat this season or get even worse with age?

April 12, 201610 yr Im hoping that they all improve, every player has under achieved, whats to say that next season they all get back to normal, are you wanting to sell every player who has under performed??? Underperforming is different than being an absolute liability.
April 12, 201610 yr How can you have watched Ivan over the years and think he just had a bad spell at the start of the season? Im actually astonished anyone could come to this conclusion.
April 12, 201610 yr He really hasnt though, hes a scapegoat, ye the first two months he was all over the place, but after his injury he has been in good form, not to his standard of last year but not anywhere near what most say, He's been a lot better in recent times, mainly because he's been moved back to CB, but his positioning still isn't great and he's getting caught out a lot. It wasn't just 2 months of the season that he was bad, it was more like 5 months. We still aren't keeping clean sheet's and Ivanovic is one of the reason's why. I don't see how you can say he is a scapegoat, it's not like he is the only one getting criticism this season. Matic, Hazard, Oscar, Fabregas, Costa, Cahill, they have all received the same criticism this season at certain times. Edited April 12, 201610 yr by Scott Harris
April 13, 201610 yr I get a bit pissed off reading articles about how we are going to lose some of our big names because we will not be in the CL next year. I am pissed off because as much as Jose and the Board have to shoulder some of the blame, the players are also at fault. Hazard has been crap, so have Oscar, Matic, Costa, Ivanovic, Cahill. Tibo's performances have not filled me with much confidence, and then you hear that some of these players want to move as they want to play CL, well f**k off, you get to stay until we get back to the CL. Especially Hazard, I would not sell him for less than 80m, if we dont get that let him sulk on the bench or the stands while we play a wonderful talent like Kenedy.
April 13, 201610 yr I see Oscar has been allegedly offered to Juve for £35m... Are we going to have a squad next season? We can't sell everybody and then expect to attract top stars with no European football to play for. I'm genuinely worried we are going the way of the bin-dippers post Suarez. [emoji33]
April 13, 201610 yr oscar for £35 million and you're worried about not having a squad? lol. that price tag sounds too good to be true; just double checking the date today to make sure it's not april fools. Edited April 13, 201610 yr by enigma

We can't sell everybody and then expect to attract top stars with no European football to play for. I'm sure Conte has a pretty good idea who he wants in his team next season and we will buy at least 2-3 new players. If Oscar isn't part of his plans and this 35 million transfer turns out to be true, I wouldn't be too worried. He's been in and out of the first eleven, so it's not like he's an untouchable or anything like that. Edited April 13, 201610 yr by Maksimov
April 13, 201610 yr Id drive him to the airport for that fee. He's been a big disappointment tbh Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
April 14, 201610 yr I'd swap Oscar for Morrota at Juventus. I agree, for 35M we be insane not to sell him.
April 14, 201610 yr Apparently we've submitted a £63m bid for Sergio Ramos. £63m for a 30 year old defender? Is it April Fools day?
