Chelsea v Bayern Munich (CL Final) 19/05/12 KO 19:45 BST

Bit of a lame question, but did anyone else get a bit teary?

When Torres scored against Barcelona, almost through sheer relief at the ridiculous amount of tension that had built up, I broke down onto my knees and got a bit emotional.

During the CL final though, for me, both Drogba's goal and the penalty resulted in just sheer elation, although a couple of hours later, it really dawned on me what had just happened, it finally sunk in, and I just sat there with a huge grin on my face, and a tear in my eye. :D

Same

Just finished watching another re run of the game - this time with arabic commentary....still as sweet as a nut.

what a night to remember forever....

chelsea legends who watch down on us from the sky (ossie, harding etc) would be proud of the boys

I watched it in a boozer with my dad and sister, my dad was an absolute mess while I ran round the pub hugging everyone. When I got back to my dad and saw he was all teary then I went too, then my sister joined in. A beautiful family moment.

Oh yes, years of pent up frustration, guttedness (is that a word?) and devastation releaved in one finely placed penalty, I cried.

I also had people congratulating me at work for my win  I say thanks, I did put in a lot of effort. I printed off an A4 size CL picture and laminated it. I bought cakes/biscuits for the office and anyone who wanted one had to pose with the trophy, got about 15 pictures

I jumped around the abr I was in with one of my good mates out here. I took him to see the Chelslea v the Sounders match in Seattle a few years ago and he's been watching them ever since. Then I hugged anyone around me thanking them for being part of "my historical day!"

The coverage cut to commercials, so the bar owner changed the channel to the Sounders game that was already in progress. It took me a while to notice as I was up buying everyone a large shot of Whiskey (Jameson's).

When I turned around and saw, I said "Mate! You've got to let me see the celebrations and presentations!" So he turned one of his side TV's on to the channel and I just sat there laughing, unable to believe it happened. I didn't cry, but the chuckling was mixed with a few tears.

Watching the game again (lost count). Still can't work out why Lamps didn't shoot when Drogba layed it off to him in the first half.

I don't recall that at all. I remember the nice buildup which ended with Kalou having a good shot at the near post, but not much else. What was the minute mark when this occurred?

Think that is probably what he is referring too.

lamps did shoot when torres showed that amazing hustle to get him the ball after being brought down with no foul (and rather than throwing his hands in the air and giving up on the play, torres kept going which threw everybody off, even the bm defenders, lol)...bayern did well to ultimately block it, I thought that could've been it

i love it

I am still getting teary everytime I see Drgoba's goal and the penalty shootout. Also seen a few replays of Torres goes v Barcelona and that still brings tears to my eyes. Trying to man up but I can, never been this happy.

Everytime I watch both those moments Torres at Barcelona and Didier scoring the penalty , my hayfever automatically errupts. Swelled eyes , red eyes quite watery and a lump in my throat which no -one seems to understand is a major hayfever effect.

Its hayfever I tell you

Champions League Winners.

We, are the Champions of Europe.

We have won the UEFA Champions League.

We won it after being 3-1 down in the last 16, we won it after being down to 10 in the Nou Camp with a makeshift back 4, we won it even thiugh we went 2-0 down, we won it after going behind with about 7 minutes to go in the final, we won it even after we gave away a penalty in extra time, we won it after we missed our first penalty... we just won it.

We won it on penalties... against the Germans... on their home soil.

My god, what have we just achieved? Unbelievable.

Haven't posted anything since saturday night! There is a reason for this......... After a weekend of getting hammered I have finally recovered (just about)!

What a win! If there was ever such a thing as something being "written in the stars" this was it. Superb boys and girls superb!

CHAMPIONS OF EUROPE 2012!
