Pretty sure this is just Jose handing out some compliments in case hes stuck with him next year as well. Make no mistake about it, if we can trick someone into taking Torres he will be gone

Something even Loki would struggle to do.

Depends on us really, Inter would take him, so would Atletico. They just won't take him at 175k a week, and I cannot say I blame them one bit for that.

So if we really, really want rid then we know what we can do. Free transfer/one year loan extended to two years so long as Torres is free of long term injury. Buying/loaned too club likely offering between 80k-100k a week in wages, we will have to pay the difference to Torres for the 2 years. We might be lucky enough to get either a very small transfer fee or a loan fee, say 5mill, in return, but that is it.

Under those conditions I could see Torres going to a city like Milan or returning to his home town club, otherwise I cannot see him giving up his big salary here.

Really we cannot blame him for that, we offered him the contract, he has every right to want every penny of it.

Do we want rid badly enough to pay around 100k or more a week to a player that is not with us, or would we rather pay 175k for one Jose has shown he will at least use at time to time?

As axman says his wage is the big problem, either he takes a big drop or we subsidise it.

@1RobBeasley: Goodbye to Samuel Eto'o.

Hello Diego!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sort of reminds me of this time last year when Bayern poached a CL finalist player before the final was played lol.

TBF Torres contributes more than his fair share to our marketing appeal.

Still baffling how he does that after years of poor displays, I guess re runs of his goal at the Camp Nou and the first goal in last years Europa final are enough to keep the marketing wheels turning.

He's a pretty-boy number 9 who set the world alight with Spain and Liverpool. Doesn't really matter that he's sh*t now, the world will always remember who he was.

Jose is just being diplomatic, I think. He knows how difficult is to move Torres due to his wages, so he's making sure Fernando is ready to play for him, if the club can't get rid of him by the end of August.

In the Chelsea circa 2004/05 he'd be telling Roman to loosen the purse strings and buy a whole new line of strikers. Now, with FFP already in motion, we can't afford to do that anymore on such a scale, or at least have to sell before buying.

Eto'o is gone, Costa looks a very likely arrival, and if Ba can fetch a decent fee, Lukaku can easily replace him. Torres is the only question mark, for the reasons mentioned above.

Might as well be Costa and Lukaku.

My feelings towards Torres at this point are summarized as follows:

SHOOT THE GUY AND BE DONE WITH IT

(Yes, I don't actually mean it, but yes, if in some way this would actually cause no physical pain or death, but at the same, pain and death in some figurative sense, Oh, I don't know.)

I reckon he will stay, don't see anyone wanting him. To be honest he plays decent for us in Europe and he seems like a nice guy so I wouldn't mind him staying here for another season. Of course I would prefer if he moved on to another club but I will be relatively happy either way. One thing is for sure, we need to bring in a top striker in the summer.

When Torres leaves this summer I'm gonna f**king party, who wants to meet up and do some heroin, blow, speed, pcp, jagerbombs, weed, booze, oxys, ecstasy, f**kin get tattoos, shoot some guns, whatever man I'm gonna party like its 1999

Well personally I will be happy to crack open a beer and quietly celebrate when a tw*t like you is shown the exit door of this forum. You are an embarrassment quite frankly.

That is of course assuming you've been alive since 1999, because a lot of your recent posts have come across as though they've been written by a petulant child.

:laugh2:

I ain't joking. This prat needs to realise that lazy journo's trawl forums like this in the hope of finding some nutter they can quote and bob's your uncle.

True, it's happened before. Recently too if I remember correctly.

Jose would say he is gonna stay, because at the moment that seems likely, if he gets a chance to sell hell do it, but what's the point in saying he wants him gone, if we can't get rid of him then things are only going to get worse...if that's possible.

Mind blowing some of the utter crap posted on here sometimes.I wont revisit this thread again and i hope Ramigoal enjoys the cake at his 12th birthday party ffs

He's just a troll.

He's been sh*tting on Hazard, Oscar ect for weeks while singing the praises of Suarez.

Guys a joke
