May 29, 201412 yr Msybe JM master plan was to find transfers for midfield players who can cut a killer pass- then Lukaku, Torres and Ba won't look so bad. Question is who is that cm?!
June 1, 201412 yr Looks like the thread title still applies: "You know, I still have a two-year contract with the biggest club in England, because that is Chelsea. I'm still hoping to play there. Chelsea has a good coach."
June 1, 201412 yr Looks like the thread title still applies: Aye that is from this article: http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2014/6/1/5768822/release-the-kraken-soon-please-and-i-dont-mean-from-his-contract Hope is true, Costa/Mandzukic/new striker, Lukaku and Bamford, that would do nicely.
June 1, 201412 yr For some reason I can't find his profile on the club website... I couldn't see Marin, Moses or Romeu either. Odd.
June 2, 201412 yr I'm not sure about Lukaku, he only seems to score tap-ins. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OEo9HU-62ss&feature=youtube_gdata_player
June 2, 201412 yr I'm not sure about Lukaku, he only seems to score tap-ins. ...that alone would be already a huge improvement for us, besides, tap-ins from out of the box between 3 players like this you mean? (or were you joking?)
June 2, 201412 yr Massive improvement in lukaku since we signed him. He also looks a more natural shape these days, and his touch is getting better and better. I'm going to be more excited to see lukaku start for us next season, than I will diego costa!

I'm going to be more excited to see lukaku start for us next season, than I will diego costa! We dont know if Mou will bring him in yet. He hasnt said that hes going to. After their little spat, it wouldnt surprise me if he lets him go. If he doesnt bring him back and we struggle for goals up top next season, he will have made a lot of unnecessary trouble for himself.

Hope he gets his chance. Is there a better number 9 in world football, under the age of 23?He has excelled in every team or system he has been put in, so the "not mourinho's type of player" is total nonsense to me. June 2, 201412 yr Positive thinking is good, I just hope that personal pride and ego doesnt get in the way of good decisions.
June 2, 201412 yr Jose's going to like the new hair cut... I think that's going to sneak him into the squad.
June 2, 201412 yr Really want Lukaku to be retained next season, ideally in addition to a top level centre forward being signed- I honestly believe we have room for both. Lukaku has definately improved since we signed him however I believe he remains what I would consider to be a raw talent but he is full of pace and power and to throw in a another cliche he 'knows where the goal is'. I would be wary of not signing an elite striker and pinning all hopes and dreams on Lukaku as our number one striker though. As good as Lukaku may become he is still a young kid and we have seen time and time again how strikers come in great form from lesser clubs and a few games without a game and the confidence drys up and suddenly people are calling for their heads. I think there would still be plenty of oppertnities for Lukaku if a player like Costa was signed and he would actually benefit from athe presense of such a figure as a potential partner up front while also not having the weight of the entire clubs striker hopes on his shoulders all season, not to mention the club would have the luxury of having decent options up front.
June 2, 201412 yr Everything seems to be pointing to lukaku going, we've been rumoured to be selling him in a player plus cash deal (18m) for Roma cb benatia. If this happens and we struggle to score goals next season I think that mourinho should pack his bags and get the f*ck out.
June 2, 201412 yr You're going to get slaughtered for that Jack. Certainly not the wisest post that's for sure.
June 2, 201412 yr Author Everything seems to be pointing to lukaku going, we've been rumoured to be selling him in a player plus cash deal (18m) for Roma cb benatia. If this happens and we struggle to score goals next season I think that mourinho should pack his bags and get the f*ck out. Define "everything". The key phrase in your post is "we've been rumoured". We've been rumoured to be selling Lukaku to any number of clubs, both here and abroad. Today we've been rumoured to be ready to sign Bony and Remy. Tomorrow who knows who they'll have us ready to sign, or sell come to that. Far too many people, it seems to me, are all too willing to go off the deep end based on something they've read in the media, the vast majority of which is nothing more than speculation. The phrase "no smoke without fire" does NOT apply where the media is concerned. I also find it interesting that you're already prepared to launch an attack on Mourinho based on this "everything" that you have yet to define. A bit of patience wouldn't hurt, at least wait to see how the situation (not only with Lukaku) unfolds. I'm pretty sure it's been posted before, but nevertheless it's a timely reminder of what Lukaku himself has to say, not a rumour, not speculation, but a direct quote: “You know, I still have a two-year contract at the biggest club in England, because that's Chelsea. So I still hope to play there. Chelsea have a good coach” While accepting that the above alone is no guarantee that he'll be wearing a Chelsea shirt next season, it's at least as good an indication, arguably far better, than the nebulous "everything" that in reality consists of nothing more than speculation.
June 2, 201412 yr You're going to get slaughtered for that Jack. Certainly not the wisest post that's for sure. Mate what I'm saying is that mourinho has made some questionable decisions since arriving, let's not forget selling the premier leagues best most creative midfielder to manure, then what do you know, we find ourselves struggling for creativity. He was our best player, but at first I trusted he had made a good decision, but now I see him wanting to sell lukaku, arguably the worlds most promising young striker, when we are crying out for strikers!! If lukaku goes we'll be watching him score for fun for someone else and kicking ourselves, just like we are now with Sturridge. If we pay 18m plus lukaku for benatia I think it would be the stupidest bit of business, considering we are already sorted at CB.
