December 24, 201312 yr A much more encouraging interview with Lukaku here, not only committing himself to chelsea, but making it clear he loves Jose and is looking to return next season...hopefully this will reassure some people http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11661/9087710?
December 24, 201312 yr http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/12040/9087710/romelu-lukaku-insists-he-has-no-problems-with-chelsea-manager-jose-mourinho Great read and apparently from Lukaku himself, it was he who wanted to leave and Mourinho wanted him to stay. Best part for me is when he says he wants to come back to Chelsea and become the best ever. Just Beat me to it Sean!
December 24, 201312 yr just read this story too. nice to see him come out and clarify things. i dont think many doubted that he wanted to return, but ambiguous interviews didnt help, when he said things about staying at everton if they were in the champs league etc. glad he's put it all to bed and now can concentrate on the rest of the season with less of the negative attention on him
December 24, 201312 yr He's been woeful for the majority of the time I've watched him, despite scoring goals. He looks laboured, slow, lethargic...throws his arms about when he doesnt get the ball. Hopefully just immaturity. I'd take his goals in a heartbeat at Chelsea, but he still looks a sub to me. Best in the world "Am I getting ready for Chelsea next season?," he asked rhetorically. "Yes, why else would I have signed a contract for five years? "I will return to Chelsea as one of the best strikers in the Premier League." He's an awful lot of work to do if he thinks he will become one of the best. A lot. Edited December 24, 201312 yr by Zola
December 24, 201312 yr People keep saying he doesn't do enough etc yet he's playing better than either of our current options. I do feel he should have stayed and fought for his place but the year out at Everton van only be a good thing for his development. People also speak about him having alot to learn but he can only do that by playing in our team regularly with Mourinho guiding him. Edited December 24, 201312 yr by Bobbywoodhogan
December 25, 201312 yr Maybe he is finally listening to chelseas PR team Ir maybe the press ran with a nothing story and a bunch of people bought into it?

So exactly as our strikers then; except they dont score..
December 29, 201312 yr Had a really good game today. Played some nice passes in both the opponent and his own half, played one great cross field ball to Coleman when he was being pressured by two players. The goal he scored wasn't one you would associate with someone who hadn't scored in 5 games. No hesitation whatsoever, he just had the confidence to smack it. I was expecting it to go flying over the bar given his lack of goals. After he scored he did some very nice dribbling which you'll probably see on MOTD, looked like a completely different player.
December 29, 201312 yr Good to see him back on the scoresheet, even though it means Everton are still putting pressure on chelsea

I wouldn't bank on that, MOTD highlightes are frigging awful. When Hazard destroyed Sunderland all they could be bothered to show was his goals.
December 29, 201312 yr Just saw this not bad for a kid that is raw. Paul Carr ?@PCarrESPN 3h Luis Suárez finishes 2013 with 29 Premier League goals. Romelu Lukaku was second with 20.
December 29, 201312 yr Here is another one. Orbinho ?@Orbinho 6h Since Aug 2012 Top Five Goals + Assists Suarez 52, RVP 44, Rooney 40, Lukaku 33. Walcott 32

December 30, 201312 yr I wouldn't bank on that, MOTD highlightes are frigging awful. When Hazard destroyed Sunderland all they could be bothered to show was his goals. To be fair if they showed all Hazard skill in that game they wouldn't of been enough time to show the other games.
