Usually it's Mata for me but today I have to give it to Luiz, who's turning out to be a great player, full of character.

Just what we f**king need.

Gave my vote to Luiz for him standing up to Howard Webb and giving him an earful.

Mata/Oscar/Torres/Moses and even Lampard looked pissed at him the entire match but it was Luiz who actually did something.

Special mention for Mata of course.

Mata for me.

There was some good performances today. A special mention to Ivan - he has been poor for a lot of the season, but the last few games I think he has been our best defender.

Mata for me, with Luiz second.  But, his smiling and his horrific free kick right outside the penalty box turned the tide for me in Mata's favour.

Azpilicueta gets my vote. He was quality today. Had a 5 minute dip in the middle of the second half but he was very good.

The whole defence was good and Mata and Ramires were the most impressive further up the pitch.

Dave for me, I know he isnt the best of RB's, But compared to what we've had the past 10 years, He's top class.

Was solid today, Helps out the defence more than what people think.

Cesar gets my vote too. On a day when I cringed seeing the defensive lineup put out there, he was always back covering, and some wayward crosses aside, barely did anything wrong.

Luiz has been different class this year. He really has held the defence together at times. This performace typifies everything he has been this year: in control, great positional awareness and a ballsy leader.

Also thought Rambo was great yet again. You can't underestimate his energy. He always has a good game against the big teams and this was no exception.

Azpi has been very consistent aswell. Does his job and that's perfect for a full back.

Agreed about Azpi but he still needs to improve his attacking play for me.

luiz for me...took the fight, literally to the opposition...thought after a bright start mata faded badly...gave the ball away a lot...then he scored the winner, but that was not enough to make him mom!

Luiz was solid at the back and also played some lovely passes...also told webb what a biased pri*k he was being, worthy of the award in itself

Juan Mata for me, not only did he score the goal but was also at the centre of all our good attacking play. A lot of solid performances, would have liked to see Ba in the game more as well as some more threat out of Moses and Oscar. Defensively we were very sound.

Bodes well for wednesday that we were able to contain a player of Van Persie's quality.

we should take into consideration man u had nothing to play for
