May 20, 201511 yr Great news, only real sour point of the suspension (because for the most part it was just hilarious) was that he'd miss the start of next season, but now that that is cleared up it's business as usual, back to the celebrations!
May 21, 201511 yr Extract from Giles Smith's column today (I've posted the whole thing in the GS thread but thought it worth posting this here: "And on that topic, can I raise a question regarding a point of order? Had Fabregas hit, for example, Diego Costa, who wasn’t standing all that far away from the player that Fabregas did hit, would Fabregas still have been sent off? Or would he merely have been cautioned? Or would nothing have happened at all? Or what if he had hit Diego Costa and the ball had rebounded onto a member of the opposition? Would he have been sent off twice? Or would Diego Costa have gone, too? It’s one for that ‘You Are The Ref’ cartoon strip, definitely. We know that if the ball had struck the referee, the red card would certainly have been applied and the resulting punitive ban would have been in danger of being up-scaled to six games. But does that mean the punishment would have been proportionally down-scaled if the player struck had been one of Fabregas’s own kind? In my view – and I’m merely going on a hunch here, based on my own observations of the way these situations tend to pan out - in that circumstance the ref on Monday night would probably have givenFabregas a yellow card and then would have booked Diego Costa, too, for diving, just to be on the safe side. I know: you’ll say Diego Costa didn’t dive, within the terms of this imaginary scenario, but that doesn’t always stop the ref from booking him for doing so, as we know. And then Diego Costa would have been off, because he’d already been booked, a couple of seconds earlier, for tussling in the box. Meaning we’d have been down to 10 men in any case. The whole thing doesn’t get any less messy, then, depending on who Fabregas did or didn’t hit. The whole thing remains messy, however you look at it. It was born messy."
May 24, 201511 yr Was lovely seeing him celebrate with his family, and then just kicking a ball around right at the end. Just made me realise that he's a kid who loves football..... He just happens to be bloody good at it.
May 25, 201511 yr Haha they talked to Fabregas on the bus and he mentioned the celery throwing from the League Cup final in 2007
May 25, 201511 yr There needs to be a pic of Fabregas in his magic hat holding a stick of celery like a wand.
May 25, 201511 yr Haha they talked to Fabregas on the bus and he mentioned the celery throwing from the League Cup final in 2007What did he say watching on sky sports news and they haven't shown much
May 25, 201511 yr What did he say watching on sky sports news and they haven't shown much Well first thing Jason Cundy said he'd spent years at Arsenal and only won one trophy and 9 months here he's won two which I think made Cesc a bit uncomfortable and he said he didn't want to compare. Then he asked him about winning the league etc and he asked him about the celery that was been thrown. Cesc said that it's not the first time cause they threw it at him in the 2007 League Cup final but he didn't know why but now he does.
May 25, 201511 yr I thought he answered Cundy with class considering it was a time for celebrations for a hard fought season and the first first thing Jason tries to do is get Cesc to talk sh*t about Arsenal.

I agree he shouldn't have done it tbh, but you could tell he was uncomfortable. I don't think Cesc will ever say anything bad about either of his previous clubs and I wouldn't expect him to.

June 4, 201511 yr Not really major news but he's changed his Instagram profile picture to him in CFC gear with the two trophies. He's had his Twitter picture which is of the number 4 even throughout his Barcelona days - nice to see.
June 11, 201511 yr Let's be honest, he isn't gonna make it here. We should move him on so Mikel can play again.
June 12, 201511 yr Fab has tweeted a pic of himself this time last year holding a Chelsea shirt on the day he signed https://mobile.twitter.com/cesc4official/status/609279554520227840
June 12, 201511 yr That is one of the best photoshops I have seen in a while haha. Someone has gone to the effort of buying two new kits, one with Fabregas branded and then shopped his head on. If they had matched his arm tone with his head I would nearly be convinced!! Just wanted to quote this again.
June 12, 201511 yr Haha, there was no convincing me that day! If you look at the photo though the sun tan irregularities made me think it was a fake....and I just couldn't believe he'd be holding up his new shirt in some fairly standard little room, thought it would at least have a club backdrop, desk etc!!

Was a great day! Sitting at work refreshing this every minute while some said it was a photoshop.
June 12, 201511 yr I thought the manip someone did of Fabregas holding the shirt with his head ontop of the shirt he was holding was genius
