If he doesn’t want 2 more years on Chelsea’s terms, adios Willy. I know it doesn't fit the narrative, but couldn't the same be said about Pulisic?

August 3, 20205 yr If he isn't going to accept a two year deal then I have no problem with him leaving. Callum will then get more minutes, along with Pulisic and Ziyech in those positions.
August 3, 20205 yr Beginning to think he fancies a change. 2 years is more than good enough, he’s probably off to Arsenal.

We lost to Everton, Bournemouth, Southampton, Newcastle, West Ham, and Sheffield United with Willian starting, and we score a grand total of 3 goals. We're equally capable of struggling offensively with him in the lineup as without. Makes me glad to see a fresh wave of attackers coming in.
August 3, 20205 yr As a famous Arsenal fan said "It's tiiime to gooooo" He was a good servant but I couldn't see him staying for another season.
August 3, 20205 yr I hoped he would stay for one more year but clearly the only options are that he leaves or retire here. I don’t know if it’s worth keeping Willian for another 3 years.

By running down his contract he can ask for a fat sign on fee, factor in his wages & agent fees and I am against retaining him. David Luiz reportedly cost Arsenal £24m in wages & fees for 1 year.
August 3, 20205 yr A few back I posted asking to sign him up.. but I think 2 years is fair by the club..Next season then becomes really important for CHO because he will affectively play a lot more.. the only worry I have is at the moment both CHO and Pulisic look injury prone.. that may meant for large parts we don’t have a good option off the bench.. with Mount/Werner playing on the left.. let’s c how this pans out.. reminds of JT’s last but one season..

August 3, 20205 yr Short term i think we'll miss him, with Pulisic out for christ knows how long and the new boys potentially needing time to settle he'd have been a nice bit of stability in a vastly changing lineup (similar to what he was at the start of this season actually). However 3 years is too much at his age, right decision to let him go.

But I digress, if as it looks most likely Willian is leaving we just have to move on. Personally I think we're on a very slippery slope without Willian.

I think with Willian leaving most are confident about Ziyech coming in as an upgrade.
August 3, 20205 yr Rejected our 2 year offer (thank god) so hopefully we can properly move on and think about upgrading our piss poor squad and overhaul it completely. Im thinking though is it possible we may need another winger now if Pedro and Willian are leaving? Ziyech is coming in which is great, but as far as true wingers go, we have Pulisic, Ziyech and CHO and 3 in total does not seem like enough. I know Frank somehow loves playing Mount as a winger, but he's awful there and belongs deeper in midfield. We may need to sign Benrahma as well as he's quite cheap and would make a great addition imo. Havertz, Benrahma, Oblak, Tagliafico and 1 of Giminez/Skriniar/Koulibaly

Pulisic/Grealish on the left and Ziyech/CHO on the right and we're in a good position, imo. If Benrahma flops here and Pulisic is injured we could be in a tricky situation, is it worth the risk considering how Grealish played for Villa this season? Not only can Grealish play on the left flank but he can also cover for Mount and RLC when he's fit. Edited August 3, 20205 yr by the special one
