He's better than i thought to be honest. It's like at least 3 times a game he finds a way to be in goal scoring chances and he always seems to be wanting to take people on in front of him. He has to start next season on the right side at least. 

 

Also, Neuer should have been sent off for poll axing Higuain.

They probably would have won it in 90 had they started with Schurrle. The kramer guy basically did nothing before he got hurt, best chance for Argentina was created when he was defending. The Germans didn't need another midfielder protector against the counter attacking team. Anyway, good game for Schurrle, expect a bid from Madrid soon

Well apparently Juventus are making a 20m offer for Paulihno from Spuds so either Vidal or Pogba are moving on. More likely Vidal to United than Pogba to Chelsea, unfortunately.

Said it in December, Schürrle was the best transfer of last summer. This past season made him my favourite player at the club despite limited chances, and now he turned in a tournament like this. 2 goals against Brazil and a world-cup winning assist. WORLD-CUP WINNING ASSIST!

Always glad to take a chance on guys like him, especially in years before tourneys like this. Can you imagine what they would want now?

That being said, Schurrle's cross is amazing, but Gotze's skill finishes that goal. Not something that will lead to a goal 9 out of 10.

Fecking Craig Burnley states on ESPN that the ball from Schurrle was just as good as the Goetze volley to win the WC. I guess dear old Craig doesn't realize that Andre plays for Chelsea now does he... Otherwise he say it was a blind boot in the middle.... He is such a dick!

Well pleased for Schurrle, he had a great World Cup, and deserves a real chance with us next season..

Fought for his place in both Chelsea and Germany and earned it, didn't moan and throw his toys out the pram when he wasn't getting picked. Well done Andre!

Chuffed for the bloke, if he puts in performances for us like he has at this World Cup he's going to be massive this season.

Great tournament from Andre!! 3 goals and great assist for the most important goal. This should give him a boost for the new season.

He is a perfect spuer sub. If he came on a bit later he was really causing problems, the kind of players who feed on fatigue

I think he can be for is what Solksjaer was for Man U

I'd have him in the team ahead of Willian.

 

He can look a bit clumsy at times but he always pops up with a chance either for himself or created for a team mate. 

 

I've got big hopes for him this season. 

Plays in a totally different system and role for Germany. Management at Chelsea won't accommodate him unfortunately.
