Paul Pogba - Needs to Sign!

Hardly been a sh*t window,

A world class attacking mid

A highly rated young left back

A striker who two years ago most of ya would have sold your mother's for and who is starting to show the same sharpness

We have promoted RLC

Brought in Kennedy who looks promising

The problem is out championship winning platers collectively have been bad. The shopping has been decent. We dont need a marquee name

I like your optimism. I don't agree however.

If there's no quality available then we can't buy anyone. Teams aren't just going to roll over and sell their best players just because we're Chelsea.

Waste of time spending money in Europe as English teams are being 'raped' if they want players, European clubs are now demanding ridiculous money for average or unproven teenagers while the wages they demand are out of this world.....time to shop elsewhere like South America.  Forget Pogba we should be spending the money on better scouts..

That wouldn't really work either.

We don't seem to play promising players or allow them time to turn the talent into proven quality. Clubs like Juve take Pogba and play him putting trust into him and he flourished to become one of the top midfielders in world football.

We on the other hand prefer to bring in a near finished product, it's always been the case since we were taken over.

Look at the number of young central mids we have brought in or come through the academy...Van Ginkel, Romelu, RLc etc.

Not happening.

We've royally f**ked up this transfer window.

Cech to Arsenal, youth out on loan again, and we only bought Pedro as an 'OH sh*t' panic buy after we got twatted by City. Some good that was against Palace.

Only good point was us getting rid of Cuadrado.

mmmmm....I have to say that's a complete spoilt asshole of a comment.

How have we f**ked up exactly? You don't say do you? Is it because we we're meant to pay ludicrous sums for pogba & stones? Yes or no?

Cech has really fixed things for Le Arse hasn't he?!?

And you feel that we should keep all our youth on the books do you so that all of them should not have the opportunity to play week in week out?!?

And you have information do you that we weren't tracking pedro before the window and/or feel that because we lost the last game that it's all down to him?!?

If I was your Dad I'd give you a kick up the arse, un-plug the modem for a month & command that you watch millwall matches for the same period.

Jesus, that's a bit much isn't it?

players from south america rarely get work permits so that wont work

I understand the whole viewpoint of giving youth an opportunity but we operate in an incredibly competitive league where forget the championship even qualification for Champions League is not a given.

Add to that the fans are incredibly impatient and want changes after 4 games into the season and our management are incredibly trigger happy with sacking managers. It is a results driven market due to the finance involved therefore if the Manager was to put faith in youth we as fans firstly will have to be patient and lower our expectations and hope that the Management back the transition and place faith in the manager.

Cause I'm a sucker for a good rumour, worth bearing in mind that Juventus yesterday completed the signings of two new midfielders.

One of which was Mario Lemina who joins on a years loan with an option to buy from Olympique Marseille who bears a resemblance to Pogba... Maybe they're hoping their fans won't notice that Pogba's gone by playing this lad instead?

Can see this only happening now if all fees have been agreed and everything is in place. Surely it would of been leaked by now if that was the case.

Can't see us bringing in anyone else.

Exactly. I don't want us to go on without JM. Every big team shuffle the pack every offseason. We did it unsuccesfully this time and we just might see it affecting the results in a bad way.

Deals like this if they do happen on transfer deadline day generally happen very quickly and fairly late in the day.

No idea why they seem to be so rushed but that's just the nature of football I suppose.

Could be that we backed off to allow Juventus time to conclude their two midfield signings yesterday knowing that their window is already closed today?

I'd be very surprised if we completed the signing however especially with the size of transfer fee and wages being thrown around.
