March 20, 201610 yr I heard last night that Mark Noble will be getting a testimonial for playing nearly 350 times for West Ham...........Terry has played over 700 games for us and there hasn't once been a mention of a testimonial for him, all we have so far is that he won't be getting a new deal at the end of the season.
March 20, 201610 yr JT has been entitled to a testimonial for a few years now, but he has said he wants to save it until the end of his career.
March 23, 201610 yr http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35683544 "As soon as Chelsea fans get over this ridiculous fixation with John Terry and start focusing on the future they might start winning trophies again." What a twat Garth Crooks is. I'll just leave this here: http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/35782829 "When Chelsea beat West Bromwich Albion on a Wednesday night in dull, wet mid-November, there were barely 4,000 there to witness Garth Crooks miss the decisive shootout penalty."

March 25, 201610 yr As the article suggests, I was surprised he was allowed to do that! You have more of a chance of being injured in a car accident or walking down the street than during a tandem skydive though, they're actually extremely safe (and one of the best experiences you'll ever have)
March 25, 201610 yr You have more of a chance of being injured in a car accident or walking down the street than during a tandem skydive though, they're actually extremely safe (and one of the best experiences you'll ever have) Oh I totally agree! But still think that his contract might exclude him doing this sort of thing. Would like to try it.
March 25, 201610 yr Oh I totally agree! But still think that his contract might exclude him doing this sort of thing. Would like to try it. Hmm possibly, but aren't footballers allowed to go skiing and such? Regardless, he's John Terry, he does what he wants. Definitely would recommend everyone to do it at least once in their life, the feeling isn't possible to explain.

March 25, 201610 yr You have more of a chance of being injured in a car accident or walking down the street than during a tandem skydive though... Not sure about walking down the street, but he's in more danger of getting injured in a football match than during a tandem skydive.
March 25, 201610 yr Not sure about walking down the street, but he's in more danger of getting injured in a football match than during a tandem skydive. Yeah but that's what he's paid to do!
March 25, 201610 yr Yeah but that's what he's paid to do! Which was kind of my point... His tandem skydive is more safe than playing football, so his contract shouldn't prohibit it (the skydive).
March 25, 201610 yr Which was kind of my point... His tandem skydive is more safe than playing football, so his contract shouldn't prohibit it (the skydive).Players are insured so I would expect that's what prohibits them, they are an asset for the club.
March 25, 201610 yr Players are insured so I would expect that's what prohibits them, they are an asset for the club. Yeah, but surely they aren't demanded to wrap themselves in cotton and live inside a protective bubble during their free time? I'd understand the team getting upset about something like BASE jumping, but not holiday activities like the tandem skydive. Many footballers play golf. You're more likely to injure yourself on the golf course. Edited March 25, 201610 yr by Maksimov

March 25, 201610 yr I remember jt saying one time he wasn't aloud cut he's own toe nails. Lol I pity whoever is tasked with that job
March 28, 201610 yr I posted this in the Jose thread as I thought there was an interesting take in tehre from a youth player about their confidence under Jose. However, it also talks about JT and his time with the kids, and how he should remain at the club due to this and the ties to the fans http://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation.com/2016/3/27/11312740/ruben-sammut-chelsea-interview-hiddink-mourinho

Same goes for the letters to fans that occasionally get posted to social media from JT. Right now he is the heart and soul of this club and the failure to either re-sign him or replace what he means to the supporters is one of the biggest failures of the Roman-era. The gulf he will leave is huge.

March 31, 201610 yr Hodgson: JT is exactly what England need right now: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/mar/30/england-missing-john-terry-defence-roy-hodgson Got to say that's a complete twist on what he actually said. He was asked if JT could be approached to play and he replied more or less no as he's retired now and wasn't in his thinking. He said the team ideally needed a left sided centre half but didn't have any good enough. The Sun headline writing by the Guardian there.
March 31, 201610 yr A subtle way to ask JT to reconsider retirement without actually saying it perhaps. Would be fitting if JT came out of retirement to play in the Euros, but conversely will make the club look like mugs if we let him go and he plays a blinder. March 31, 201610 yr I think it would perfectly complete his rehabilitation in the public eye if he were to be recalled. He seems to be widely viewed as one of the top defenders in the league still, which raises questions about what the f**k the board is doing not giving him a contract, ad one last tournament would be the perfect way to end his international career. I don't think it will happen though which is a shame.
