  • Lampard in place of Luiz for his experience in huge games, another leader-figure on the pitch could be the difference. Ramires to make an appearance in the second half perhaps.
  • Back four is practically standard by this point.
They all need to be wary of the speed Liverpool attack with. Keep them away from the box as they go to ground very easily and the crowd at Anfield will want at least one penalty in this game.
  • Despite lacking end-product Willian will run Liverpool absolutely ragged and will create spaces for Hazard, Schurrle, and Eto'o to operate in. Oscar to come on in place of Willian or Schurrle in the second half.
  • Eto'o must start this game with Ba making an appearance in the second half to freshen things up and keep up the pressure on Liverpool's defense.
I don't want to see Torres anywhere near this match. He goes completely invisible during games against Liverpool and we cannot f**king afford that here, not with the stakes this high.

We have a nasty, but oh-so-satisfying, habit of shattering the dreams of our opponents. In recent memory we've claimed the scalps of Napoli, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain. Liverpool fans have spent the past month flaunting their "Make Us Dream" banners but even they surely recognize that nobody shatters delusions of grandeur and curb-stomps dreams quite like Chelsea FC.

Let's do em', let's end their unbeaten streak in their own back yard and make off with the premier league trophy in the process.

2-0 Chelsea.

Unless there is an act of unbelievable divine intervention and Liverpool lose to Norwich tomorrow there is practically no point fielding a strong side for this game. Just focus on the Champion's League.

If there's a slighty chance Norwich will pull something against the scoursers we need to wait for another City mistake..

I care less about this game after today. Everything in CL and what happens in the PL from now on for me.

If Liverpool win tomorrow i'd rather rest anyone needing it. I'm not saying we should rest the entire team but if anyone looks leggy at the end of the first CL semi leg then don't start them.

That said there is no way Jose is going to rest anyone unless absolutely necessary.

This game has obviously gone down massively in importance as of now .

Still though - if Norwich can do something special tomorrow it's all on again .

If we do well at AM mid-week some key players may even be rested?

I think Liverpool should win this match quite comfortably tbh ... they have no distractions, unlike us ...

The Leagues gone for us ... It means everything to them ...

FA have just released the match officials list for next week

Referee - P. Thompson

Red flag - A Hansen

Yellow flag - J Aldridge

4th official - J Rednapp

in the Sunderland match thread today people have been talking about our players hunger for the Champions League compared to the premier league - maybe being on the pitch at Anfield when Liverpool secure the title might give our guys a kick up the a**e for next season. i can't imagine any pro wants to be around when a rival lifts the title

So what I have feared for a while have a realistic chance of happening now.

Well I feel sorry for the travelling fans who may have to witness Liverpool's coronation. No one to blame but ourselves, we have constantly underachieved in the league this season, allowing sides to beat us or hold us because they simply wanted it more than we did.

Not on our watch.

Can't wait until we beat them & hand it to City.

They really are the most disgusting set of supporters sport has ever seen.

League is done and dusted. All our efforts should now be on the Champions League. Makes no difference to us whether Liverpool or City win it. Why should we sacrifice our one chance of silverware by putting out a strong side in a meaningless fixture?

Would like to see us start a second string and rest all our players for the CL second leg. Take the premiership going to the Scousers on the chin. Winning the Champions League would more than make up for it.

I think that is a better argument against Twitter than it is against Liverpool fans...

You would hope a Liverpool fan would know better than to disrespect the dead after the omnipresence of the Hillsborough tributes recently.
