March 11, 201511 yr Why did he come on? So far past it that he can't even see it anymore. Because £60m worth if right wingers aren't good enough to play in attack so we stuck Costa there. Just looks desperate turning to a 37 year old striker to try and salvage a game for us.

March 11, 201511 yr Why are you so fixed on wingers? Remy should have been called on before Drogba. It was a poor move by jose Because we've got £60m worth of wingers who either are sh*t in attack 99 times out of 100 or have been bought as expensive bench warmers. And despite being fit and available the greatest manager in the world deemed neither trustworthy enough to start our biggest game of the season and instead turned to a 37 year old striker. As for Remy, he's got the physical presence of a carrier bag in a blizzard. He'd have offered nothing tonight.

Jose brought both them in so clearly thinks they are good enough so not quite sure what you are getting at. How do you know he'd have offered nothing tonight? I mean Costa offered hee have all night as did Drogba when he came on . It wouldn't be very hard to make more of an impact than those two. A international striker with France and a proven goalscorer but would offer nothing against a team a man down.....yeah ok. I suppose it's easy to write off players who have hardly had a run out for us even when one of them was scoring goals when played. Edited March 11, 201511 yr by Chelsbear
March 11, 201511 yr Remy offers pace. I'd have taken that tonight. Isn't a bulldozer so would offer nothing.....
March 11, 201511 yr Remy offers pace. I'd have taken that tonight. The was no service from any if the attackers tonight, Remy would have been making runs into no mans land all night long.
March 11, 201511 yr I thought Fab got owned in MF tonight, same as Spuds away, probably our worst 2 performances of the season, coincidence ?
March 11, 201511 yr The was no service from any if the attackers tonight, Remy would have been making runs into no mans land all night long. There was no movement up front so hard to find them with a pass. I agree that our wingers aren't doing enough except for hazard but Costa and Drogba were like statues.
March 11, 201511 yr Another thing I find puzzling. When you have a spare man, best have a fast spare man, no ? When we took Oscar off we should of brought on Remy and gone 4-3-3
April 9, 201511 yr If you looked up the definition of 'speculation' in the dictionary it would have this article: http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/434945/Didier-Drogba-Chelsea-exit-Jose-Mourinho It does have a fairly funny quote from José though, in response to questions about Drogba's future: "Drogba’s future is to train Tuesday and to play against QPR,"
April 13, 201511 yr I have never in my life seen a player so phenomenal at timewasting, in all its forms. It is a veritable sight to see. I can almost hear Lee Dixon drawling the word 'gamesmanship' in my ear...

April 13, 201511 yr Good luck to him but I really don't think he should be in the squad next year. I'm not sure what Jose was thinking when he brought him back as a player. Deserves his status as a club legend.
April 13, 201511 yr I hope he retires from playing, and stays at the club in some other capacity. It would be criminal of the club to let him take a place off someone like Bamford, who would be perfect as a number three for a season before hopefully moving up the pecking order.

April 13, 201511 yr Give him another year !! Have you gone mad He was awful yesterday in fact worse than that the qpr fans were laughing at him he was that bad His legs have gone doesnt even win headers anymore No give him a coaching job coaching the young strikers
April 13, 201511 yr He was awful yesterday in fact worse than that the qpr fans were laughing at him he was that bad That's just projection, understandable considering they have to watch Bobby Zamora every week. Also bear in mind that this is a club which saw fit to make Joey Barton its captain so I'm sure you'll understand if I take anything coming from them with a pinch of salt. Drogba did just fine yesterday, his first touch was inconsistent but then it always has been. I won't deny that his pace and his stamina are a distant memory, but his strength, character (sorry) and aerial ability are all still there, particularly important consider the extent to which QPR have relied on set pieces for goals this season. He was still battling to win the ball, still intelligent enough to create chances and most hilariously of all, still the undisputed lord and master of timewasting. While I might be looking to move him on, or at least upstairs, over the summer, I am more than happy to have him in the squad, and delighted to have someone of his personality and experience in the dressing room during a tough run-in, particularly with a relatively young squad and Diego Costa missing. I noticed he seemed to be egging on Cuadrado a lot yesterday, which is great considering he looks like he's lacking in confidence.
