Because we've got £60m worth of wingers who either are sh*t in attack 99 times out of 100 or have been bought as expensive bench warmers.

Jose brought both them in so clearly thinks they are good enough so not quite sure what you are getting at.

How do you know he'd have offered nothing tonight? I mean Costa offered hee have all night as did Drogba when he came on . It wouldn't be very hard to make more of an impact than those two. A international striker with France and a proven goalscorer but would offer nothing against a team a man down.....yeah ok.

I suppose it's easy to write off players who have hardly had a run out for us even when one of them was scoring goals when played.

There was no movement up front so hard to find them with a pass.

I agree that our wingers aren't doing enough except for hazard but Costa and Drogba were like statues.

Another thing I find puzzling.

Good luck to him but I really don't think he should be in the squad next year.  I'm not sure what Jose was thinking when he brought him back as a player.

 

Deserves his status as a club legend.

I hope he retires from playing, and stays at the club in some other capacity.
It would be criminal of the club to let him take a place off someone like Bamford, who would be perfect as a number three for a season before hopefully moving up the pecking order.

I think we should consider to give him another year. Perfect as a 3rd striker. Doesn't moan one bit and is a team player if there ever was one.

That's just projection, understandable considering they have to watch Bobby Zamora every week. Also bear in mind that this is a club which saw fit to make Joey Barton its captain so I'm sure you'll understand if I take anything coming from them with a pinch of salt.

 

Drogba did just fine yesterday, his first touch was inconsistent but then it always has been. I won't deny that his pace and his stamina are a distant memory, but his strength, character (sorry) and aerial ability are all still there, particularly important consider the extent to which QPR have relied on set pieces for goals this season. He was still battling to win the ball, still intelligent enough to create chances and most hilariously of all, still the undisputed lord and master of timewasting.

 

While I might be looking to move him on, or at least upstairs, over the summer, I am more than happy to have him in the squad, and delighted to have someone of his personality and experience in the dressing room during a tough run-in, particularly with a relatively young squad and Diego Costa missing. I noticed he seemed to be egging on Cuadrado a lot yesterday, which is great considering he looks like he's lacking in confidence.
