Nope don't think that at all, Jose bought him because he's a top player and his experience. I'm sure he's gonna end up pushing his way into the first team soon, he's already given Jose something to think about after that Schalke game.

Yeah he's probably the most balanced left.. good in attacking as well as defending. There was also a reason he was rated the best left back last season. I seriously think he should be starting games at left back ahead of Azpi he offers far more in attacking and defending wise he's very very good if you've watched Atleti last season. So one of Azpi or Iva should make way seriously it will make good balance in our team if Luis plays LB otherwise we're quite handicapped with Azpi playing LB as he offers next to nothing offensively.

His crossing was excellent, reminded me of Paulo with his accuracy. Got up and down really well, made his tackles etc. Very impressive.

Was massively at fault for the Palace goal and for me is definitely not an upgrade against a attacking team like United. See him as the better option against teams we are trying to break down.

He's made some fine last ditch challenges in the games he has played for us so far.

Dave is a gret defender but attacking wise he's pretty limited especially on the left.

Hazard and Luis look great together on that flank and Luis is a solid defensive player too.

Isn't afraid to put a foot in (and rarely bad at it) and is a brilliant crosser of the ball, and obviously having a natural leftie at wing back is important. I am glad he's getting recognition from the Brazil national squad too. He's better than Marcelo (in my opinion). 

Dave is for me the best 1 on 1 defender in the league, Luis has already been caught out a few times, no way is he a better defender but that's not saying he's bad either.

You know what in CL final he kept Di Maria quiet almost whole game, and unsurprisingly when Atletico subbed him(poor decision) Di Maria anchored Real Madrids CL triumph from there on. That's how good he's defensively,

He's an all rounder IMO. Dave is a better defender but he doesn't offer half as much attacking wise as Luis.

You just need to watch the game on Tue to see how we mauled Maribor down that left hand side because of Luis and Hazards link up and runs.

His chance to prove himself starting from our next game against United.

I think we're bloody lucky, not only have him, but he's willing (it seems) to wait his time without creating a fuss, not unlike his counterpart for the same position.
Not a lot to choose between them as i see it, and that can only benefit the team in the long haul to the title.

I wanted to give PvA more run as well, as I thought both Bert & PvA learned from one of the best LB the game has ever seen...Ashley Cole. Still I will give Felipe Luis a chance. Now is his moment to shine. I hope he takes this moment & embraces the chance he has been given w/ CFC.
