Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15

mactheknife sums up my thoughts.  Sure Mourinho has done worse, but Mourinho hasn't gone around with a "holier than thou" act like Guardiola.

Edit: Countinho, why would Guardiola blame poor reffing?  If it wasn't for poor reffing he would not of won a single CL title at Barcelona, let alone two.

Last competitive match Mourinho complained about a ref it was Mike Dean.  The same Mike Dean, from Wirral, who was removed from officiating the 2006 FA cup final because Liverpool was playing and Dean has been a fan of their since he was a little lad.  The FA did, however, decide that Dean should ref Chelsea vs Sunderland with 4 games left in the season despite the fact that if Chelsea won, LFC would no longer be the league leaders and in fact would lose the ability to automatically win the title if they won the rest of their games, with a win Chelsea would gain that control.  Now Im sure its a coincidence that a perfectly good Chelsea goal was disallowed for an aerial challenge that had almost no contact the same half that Mike Dean failed to award a penalty for Ramires and a red card for Larson despite Larson literally rugby tackling Ramires during an aerial challenge in the 6 yard box with the goalie out of net. And by aerial challenge I mean Larson does not even look for the ball, just jumps and body checks Ramires as hard as he can.  Then Cahill was rugby tackled in the box by O'Shea and another Sunderland committed a hand ball in his own box.  All 3 stonewall penalties (and one auto-red card) all ignored just for Mike Dean to award Altidore a penalty when he, get this, steps on a Chelsea defender (Azpiliqueta) and trips due to his own clumsiness.  Again, Azpi does not go into a tackle but Altidore literally steps on Azpi's foot and turns it into a penalty via Mike Dean.  A disallowed goal, 3 ignored penalties and denied a man advantage for a huge section of the game for Chelsea, Sunderland get the weakest penalty appeal of the game coincidentally in a game where if Chelsea win, take away Liverpools ability to control their own title destiny with just a few matches left...and reffed by a Liverpool fan who was previously banned from reffing cup finals if Liverpool was playing.

You tell me why Mourinho was wrong to complain because the LFC faithful would of rioted had this been the reason why they lost the league.  I don't think he protested enough.  Yes, I'm still bitter the FA did this but then again, LFC got the most penalties ( a record season if I am not mistaken) and somehow Skrtel didn't get called for a single penalty despite committing the most in the league,.

that match was such a joke

Brilliant BB. Best riposte i've read on the whole forum

Asking me 9 months in advance? Seems i am npt the only one who believes we will win the league this year.

What the one in April? Oh wait, season goes until May doesn't it? Hahaha!

The mods must be paying this mentalist to come here and entertain us. And he's been worth every penny.

Exactly, let's keep this one around. He is truly a rare breed... We are all going to have hours of entertaining laughter this season.

"Well there goes our season again! God dammit! Hey, my neighbor just bought a vintage Austin Healy. Apparently he couldn't wait to cash in his old man who's recently deceased pension to buy it. Let's go steal it and take it for a joy ride with our lemons smashed. Afterward, we will rob his home too!"

It was a friendly so I can see why some of the tackles might not have been appreciated but it isn't like the coach, who doesn't usually oversee these players, was out there doing the tackling. He actually kept apologizing for the tackles. The whole thing was so disrespectful. The way he tries to tell his players to leave the pitch without exchanging shirts. Love the way Muller just ignored him and clapped all of the fans.

Of course they were going to play hard! They are playing Bayern Munich and most of these guys will never have the chance to do so again. The fact that Pep thought this be a walk in the park just shows how naive he truly is.

c**tinho undoing all my hard work for the image of the internet liverpool fan in one day.....

Ha ha, them mentalist massively outnumber you decent ones on the net unfortunately for you. But they usually get short shrift on here, regarded more as a play thing than seriously.

Celtic have been re-instated into the CL, Unbelievable, So what if Warsaw had an ineligible player, You're telling me Uefa couldn't have handed them a hefty fine instead? You thrash a side 6-1 and then got knocked out due to a technicality, Frauds.

I must admit if that had been a more well known club... a fine would have been given instead. F*cking Celtic, hope we draw them and smash them, rotton club.

Fcuking joke...second time Celtic have been knocked out of Europe and been reinstated cos of this rule...but this bloke played a couple of minutes at the end of a 6-1 aggregate victory...Celtic should be embarrassed to get through to next qualifying round....but I wouldn't be surprised if they were the ones that found out and complained in the first place...hope they're humiliated in the next round and don't even make the group stage

Just put it in the Demba Ba thread but i'll put it here too, Besiktas just drew Arsenal which gives Demba another opportunity to enhance his legend status.

I hate Celt*c.

The second time in 4 years they have got through the cat flap of European football.

Red neck

In 2010, Uefa fined Debrecen £15,000 but rejected a protest from opponents Litex Lovech, who wanted the Hungarian side kicked out of the tournament for fielding an ineligible player.

Debrecen argued that they fielded Peter Mate in good faith as a substitute in Bulgaria when they were leading 4-1 on aggregate.

Uefa ruled that Debrecen had "no interest in fielding this player for the three last minutes of additional time, when the score was so clearly in its favour".

Unless the rules have changed since 2010 it looks like UEFA is treating teams differently. What a farce. Daft that Legia Warsaw brought on an ineligible player but did it make a difference to the score line - no. I hope Celtic get thumped in the next round.

Lewy piss off. Your an absoloute ass lick mate. Calling rawk mentalist and then engaging with other fans the way you are. What image are you building by claiming liverpool cannot win the league and 'city and chelsea guaranteed first two spots'. Sounds like an asslicker who wants to remain on the good side of the CHELSEA faithful. Woudnt see a chelsea fan on rawk sucking upto lfc and saying your guaranteed a top 2 spot. And you hav the nerve to call me a c**t, wake up you plastic.

You wouldnt see a Chelsea fan on RAWK saying that Liverpool will get a top two spot because we all know that wont happen.

whoever at Legia falied to check every player's eligibility before the game should be sacked but I agree with you it looks like one rule for a team no one has ever heard of and a different rule for that lot.
