June 11, 201511 yr They should not bid more, we should bid more. 50m£ is of course ridiculous, but if we can get him somewhere in the middle (+- 35m£), it would be a good deal. With his talent, his age and him being homegrown, it's not an unreasonable price tag. If you see what we paid for fokking Cuadrado, 35m£ for Sterling is a good deal. June 12, 201511 yr Author If Arsenal can get Morgan Scheniderlin, Higuain and Cech, well, I would put them as our main rivals. We hear this every season.

If we're looking at around £25 million for Douglas Costa then he's definitely got to be worth a punt. Imagine him and Hazard on the break with Costa ahead of them.
June 12, 201511 yr We hear this every season. We do but it's quite likely they are getting those players this time.

June 12, 201511 yr BREAKING: ARSENAL CHARGED BY FA Arsenal have been charged by the FA for breaching agents' regulations over transfer of Calum Chambers. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33109008 Calum Chambers: Arsenal charged over defender's transfer Arsenal have been charged by the Football Association with allegedly breaching football agents regulations over the transfer of Calum Chambers from Southampton. Agent Alan Middleton has also been charged for allegedly breaching the regulations in relation to the transfer and has until 17 June to respond. Arsenal have until 26 June to respond after they requested more time. Defender Chambers, 20, joined the Gunners for about £16m in July 2014. He made 36 appearances for Arsenal last season as he helped them finish third in the Premier League. Chambers is part of the England Under-21 squad for the European Championships in the Czech Republic, starting on Wednesday.
June 12, 201511 yr And what are the possible results of that? Just a fine? Or maybe a Barca style transfer ban. Which is one that appears to apply only outside the transfer window.
June 12, 201511 yr BREAKING: ARSENAL CHARGED BY FA Arsenal have been charged by the FA for breaching agents' regulations over transfer of Calum Chambers. Surely not, the pride of London would never do something like that
June 13, 201511 yr Fairly sure if it was us there would be a nice media campaign to get us a transfer ban.

I'm still amazed they're sticking with Pellegrini, which suggests that they're focussed on getting Guardiola in next season. If that's the case then I think they could be in trouble. Anytime a club decides to tread water and hesitates to take a step forward (replacing the manager who lost the dressing room) then I think they're in danger. I don't think for a moment they view Pellegrini as the future of the club so it's impossible for them to invest in his 'vision' as they would if they got Pep, so they'll do what we did when we had Robbie in charge - buy young talent who can fit into the next guy's vision. It's a dangerous game and having them as favourites...I certainly wouldn't.
June 13, 201511 yr Competition could beat its strongest next season in terms of the Top Four battling for the title
June 13, 201511 yr It's going to be a tough season. The winners are going to have to be one hell of a team.
June 13, 201511 yr Interesting if true AC Milan are poised to complete the signing of FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez, according to Gazetta dello Sport. The Italian sports daily carries quotes from Porto president Pinto da Costa, who confirmed: "Jackson has chosen Milan. They will pay 35 million euros (£25million).” The report claims Martinez, who is currently on international duty for Colombia at the Copa America, will undergo medical for the Rossoneri in South America once the tournament has finished, before completing his move to the San Siro.
