June 18, 201511 yr MAN UTD IN FOR LUKAKU Romelu Lukaku has emerged as a target for Manchester United, according to the Sun. Shows just how weak the market for strikers is. Very lucky to have Costa and Remy....and maybe even a certain Columbian.
June 18, 201511 yr I think the markets weak all over these days, not sure if there's a lack of real talent or it's just spread really think nowadays
June 18, 201511 yr Surely City aren't gonna go all the way to £50 mil I know this is oft-said but the game's lost the plot. Sterling is an able player. He may become a very good player but £40+million?! How is that related to what he does on the pitch?

June 18, 201511 yr Lukaku to Manchester United sounds interesting. Could thrive in LVG's system but it would be interesting to see how much Everton would want for him given they paid £28m for him. £35m maybe? Seems a lot for a player with an awful long way still to go in his development.
June 18, 201511 yr Lukaku to United is ridiculous. I just can't see how he can fit into their system. Unless Fellaini and him link up with some sort of hoof-ball mentality. Jose was bang-on letting him leave, same with Mata, as much as people don't want to believe. If United are seriously considering Lukaku due to Van Persie's likely exit I shudder to think who the hell will be scoring their goals next season.
June 18, 201511 yr ManU should start by selling one of there 3 strikers that they already have Or find some mug to loan them to. Edited June 18, 201511 yr by coco
June 19, 201511 yr The overall bill for the Olympic Stadium in Stratford, largely met by taxpayers, has soared to more than £700m before West Ham United move in as tenants next year. In a move likely to reignite the row over the amount of public money used to make the stadium suitable for both football and athletics, the London Legacy Development Corporation has confirmed the total cost of the transformation at £272m. Originally the Olympic Stadium was priced up at £280m in the London 2012 bid book before the price tag rose to £429m. The latest announcement, following the last of the contracts being signed, takes the total cost of the stadium to £701m. The final confirmed cost of the transformation, towards which West Ham will make a £15m contribution on top of the £2.5m they will pay annually for a 99-year lease, is significantly higher than the £154m originally announced when the deal with West Ham was agreed. http://www.theguardian.com/sport/2015/jun/19/olympic-stadium-cost-rises-west-ham Considering Chelsea's potential redevelopment of Stamford Bridge is likely to cost the club around £500m does it piss anyone else off that West Ham get to waltz into a £700m stadium for the price of an Andy Carroll? Why the hell is a Premier League football team allowed to use the stadium for peanuts? It's a 99 year lease and all they've had to pay about an 18th of the cost of converting a £400m athletics stadium to be suitable. Why are tax payers funding something that is for the benefit of a football club and its fans.

Doesn't piss me off simply because we will hopefully will remain in our spiritual home while the likes of west ham and man city will live in their council stadiums
June 19, 201511 yr BBC just posted this on their twitter feed: Chelsea's out-of-contract winger Gael Kakuta has joined La Liga side Sevilla Kakuta wasn't out of contract, we actually sold him (for a small profit) but worse than that, if you take a look at the picture you might notice that it's actually Ramires.

He kind of was out of contract, but we had an option to extend it by a year, which we did so sevilla had to pay a fee.
June 19, 201511 yr He kind of was out of contract, but we had an option to extend it by a year, which we did so sevilla had to pay a fee. So what you're saying is, is that he had a had a contract and wasn't"out of contract" like the headline suggests.
