October 31, 201411 yr What a joke Gerrard is. After all that nonsense he's now saying he'll move on from lolpool if they dont offer him a new deal.... basically making it public so his disciple fans demand he gets a new deal.
October 31, 201411 yr Even in an interview with absolutely nothing to do with Liverpool's standing in world football, he still manages to sneak in a quote about how Liverpool are among the biggest clubs in the world. Classic.
October 31, 201411 yr There to bring a film out about Stephen Gerrard's trial. Even though there was CCTV of him punching a bloke in the face he was found not guilty. He was of course put on trial in Liverpool where justice is very important to Scousers. The film will be called 12 Anfield Men

Its good timing----- with bonfire night comin up------mass burning of Gerards jerseys (again)......... then tell them end of Nov he has no intention of leaving.... mad rush to buy (knuck) the new one for Christmas....deal breaker......... his agent has brains anyway!
October 31, 201411 yr Just an observation on this and the United game last weekend. This Gerrard bloke and his cronies (inc the press, pundits, manager) have been spouting sh!te for years now, which is probably why I enjoy this thread more than others..... It's good to vent off steam. I would normally feel the same playing the rags, but at the weekend, I didn't feel quite as passionate as normal!! Maybe, with all their new players and a less verbal manager, I haven't had time to hate them so much :) This obviously changed when RVP celebrated an equaliser as if he'd personally won the world cup!

I think that RVP celebration has been looked at wrong tbh, I think it was more a relief for him because he knows he's got to do more to keep in the United first team.

October 31, 201411 yr Serious questions: if you put the fact that he plays for the Scousers to one side, would you want Gerrard in your team, if he became available? What level of PL club would he represent an attractive signing for? (i.e. the WBA's / Stoke's of this world or clubs competing for top third of table places?).
October 31, 201411 yr Not a chance - maybe once upon a time but he's become a liability now. What level? Villa, I think he's really sunk that low over the last 12-18 months. But he deserves to stay where he is - scum for scum so to speak!
October 31, 201411 yr Good news. It looked such a nothing challenge as well, just pushed off the ball.

Maybe 2-3 years ago but not now, he is 34 and like Lampard is running out of gas (lamps at least kept it up a good bit longer IMO). He has had to change his game by being a deep midfielder and yes he does ping a good ball out wide or to the strikers now and then but he also screws up a good number of them too. He’s a mid table player now at best and maybe the likes of West Ham, QPR ect would be more inclined to give him a start next season but none of the top teams will go near IMO.

He had a chance to join us but bottled it. As Barn has written, he is now a liability. Villa sounds about right for him. Perhaps he could move across the Mersey to Tranmere Rovers. Would be funny if Man U or Everton put a bid in for him. Just to wind up the Liverpool fans.
October 31, 201411 yr Maybe a few years ago. He had a chance to join us but bottled it. I've always wondered what would have happened had Gerrard joined. I guess Ballack would never have come here, but I don't think a 3 man midfield with Lamps and Gerrard would have worked. At the time, both just wanted to bomb forwards, whereas our system needed another to sit in front of Makelele whilst Lampard wreaked havoc in the opposition box.
October 31, 201411 yr I definitely wouldn't take Gerrard now, and I think it was probably for the best that we didn't sign him all those years ago. For one thing, I can't imagine Frank Lampard would have had such a successful career with us if Gerrard had been around.

More than likely that he wouldn't have joined. Gerrard and Lamps would have both liked to have bombed forward which would not always have been a good idea - depends on who we were playing.
October 31, 201411 yr The obvious move for Gerrard would be MLS. Him losing the ball down the middle like he does would be disastrous for most bottom half Premier league sides
October 31, 201411 yr Liverpool v Chelsea: The Uncensored Match Build Up Show Pool V Chelsea That was brilliant :) just watched it all.The guy to the right of the telly is soooo bitter, the same guy that had the "rent boy" rant after the match. So good to see him so smug before it. The presenter predicting a 4-1 Liverpool win was funny: "why not? We've beaten all the other contenders to OUR crown". However, the older guy on the left was much more cautious and hesitated in criticising Chelsea and Jose. His body launguage was uncomfortable when the other no-marks were swearing. I wonder what the nect episode of the show was like :)

They must have been really hurt.

No way man, he's nowhere near good enough anymore, plus i can't stand the guy. To be honest i wouldn't have taken him when he was playing at his best either. Gerrard and Lampard doesn't work, and i feel having him in the team would have harmed the team rather than improve it.
October 31, 201411 yr Brings a new meaning to the chant: "Is that all you take away?" http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/29848452 I'm sure we played a game (against Oxford United?) back in the late eighties that there was only eight fans in the old North Stand.
October 31, 201411 yr Wasn't there a story a few years ago about an italian match where literally 1 away fan turned up?
