Following Our Nearest and Dearest Rivals, 2014-15

That was brilliant :) just watched it all.

The guy to the right of the telly is soooo bitter, the same guy that had the "rent boy" rant after the match. So good to see him so smug before it.

The presenter predicting a 4-1 Liverpool win was funny: "why not? We've beaten all the other contenders to OUR crown".

However, the older guy on the left was much more cautious and hesitated in criticising Chelsea and Jose. His body launguage was uncomfortable when the other no-marks were swearing. I wonder what the nect episode of the show was like :)

I watched ten minutes of it and had enough by then, thoroughly hilarious to watch that.

Serious questions: if you put the fact that he plays for the Scousers to one side, would you want Gerrard in your team, if he became available?

What level of PL club would he represent an attractive signing for? (i.e. the WBA's / Stoke's of this world or clubs competing for top third of table places?).

Even though It would be hugely entertaining bordering on f**king hilarious to see Steven Gerrard go on to win his one and only Premiership while wearing a Chelsea shirt, the answer remains: Nein Danker.

You reckon Stoke would want him then?

I think that, possibly for only a year or two, he'll bring some cachet and experience to PL clubs of a certain level. I think that he's too slow to be of interest to the top PL teams. Gerrard hasn't seemed as sharp as in the past, this season. There may be a mental angle as last season's let down must be a huge thing to get over.

If his contact expires in the summer, we should offer him a short term deal, just to piss the scousers off. Seriously, how many scouse suicides would there be if their patron saint Gerrard signed for us.

Gerrard couldn't sign for a big English team; Liverpool wouldn't be safe for him to visit.

Plus it's also pretty late in his career to try something new like that

He was an excellent player in his day. However, it frustrated me a lot that still the media were putting his performances last season in the same catergory as Hazard. It's simply the fact that Suarez pushed Liverpool for the title last season that Gerrard was mentioned. If Suarez hadn't been there last season and Liverpool finished 5th or 6th, the media would of barely said as much despite all those penalty goals.

GERRARD: Sturridge possibly the best English striker I've played with http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2814747/STEVEN-GERRARD-Daniel-Sturridge-blows-away-s-probably-best-English-striker-ve-player-with.html @MailSport

This is so funny:

"Playing for Liverpool is hard. The really big clubs - Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Manchester United - don't suit everybody, and Liverpool sit firmly in that group."

"We're on the TV every 3 days, not once a month like most. You can't hide, being a Liverpool player"

Not a mention that the midweek games have just started after years of not playing them :)

He means Liverpool TV

I have to agree with Tommy, i'd take him and sit him on the bench all season as it would be bloody hilarious for him to win a league title in a Chelsea shirt after all the years of failure at Liverpool.

All this talk of Gerrard not being handed a new deal is worrying me slightly because with only 3 possible destinations for him to win a title, City, Chelsea and United, Out of those 3 in his eyes and in the eyes of the scousers who would send him death threats, We are the lesser of the evils and also we have a history of signing aging legends from other clubs, Lampard, Schmeichel, Fowler etc, I could see him ending up at our place and if we were to pip Chelsea to the title next year on a dramatic final day, Sky Sports, The rest of the media knobs and not to mention the scouse brigade would rejoice in it because it would be 'Stevie G finally getting to the promised land' and at the expense of Mourinho, Which in itself would eradicate the fact he didn't do it in a Liverpool shirt because of how much joy they would get from Mourinho not winning it.

I can honestly see it happening if Liverpool try and force him out or if he tries to force his way out by playing the victim in a contract dispute.

The annoying this is, Liverpool are looking terrible but will probably scrape 3 points again and stay in the hunt for a top 3/4 position. They keep getting lucky wins against the likes of QPR and West Brom.
