Courtois for me, played well for the full 90 and saved our bacon quite a few times. 

 

Ivan was very good attacking wise but yet again players were getting past him and their best attacks were coming from his side. Not sure if it's how Jose wants him to play but I think he needs to get the balance right otherwise we will get punished by better teams.

Special mention to Courtois who IMO won us the game

Courtois, but if he had started then Willian, he should replace Oscar at Everton

Ivan. Thought he might be the one to step aside but been a monster in both games. Involved in 4 of our 5 goals so far.

HMs today - T.Bo , Cahill, Wiilian, Eva's peachy butt.

Clean sheet was down to Courtois 

Game would have become similar to some matches last season if he didn't pull out a couple of World Class saves

Courtois. Crucial saves. Caught everything. Flawless.

Ivanovic and Courtois both played exceptionally, Ivan forced the goal for Costa though and nearly had a couple himself.

Has to be Ivanovic for me, our most underrated player we've had in our squad for years.

Ivanovic for me, he was brilliant defensively and going forward he was excellent.

Ivanovic motm. But I I thought Courtois made big saves at important times, and although costa didn't have the best of games, he broke the deadlock, which is the type of performances we need from him to win the league.

Who said he didn't contribute enough in attack. Showed why he should probably be the next captain of the football club.

Ivan just ahead of fabregas and Oscar.

Ivan was very effective going forward.  Whilst he is pretty lumbering in his dribbling style, both defenders bit on his cut-in for the goal.

 

Super stuff, and helped get everyone going in the second half with his "lets be having you" shout after his good chance on 47 minutes.

Brana for me. Solid defense. Great width support. Anybody else think that Luis was just brought in to push / improve Azpi and Brana?

Courtios kept us in the game with some great saves but MOTM for me was Brana, he was brilliant today making the right back spot his own.

Kept us in it a 0-0, Ivan was very close, but Cuparcher gets the nod.

Me too. So hard to choose between Courtois and Ivan - they both deserve it equally to be honest.
