April 18, 201610 yr I still think Bamfordinho will come good but at this point we have younger players who are better like said above. Sell him on
April 18, 201610 yr So what happens now? He'll be 23 at the start of next season, we've seen a few lads in the Premier League step up from nowhere at that age but I just can't see him getting a chance at Chelsea after the season he's had. The loans to Palace and Norwich looked like a good idea on paper but they've just not worked out for him. Could still potentially be third choice next season if Pato and Remy leave but I would bet he'll be sold to a championship side in the summer. Maybe a loan to boro could do the trick for him at PL level. Looking likely that they will get promoted. For that to happen though, he will need to extend his contract which is ending in 2017.
April 18, 201610 yr Championship caliber player, maybe impact sub for a relegation side. If somoene is interested Id say sell him
April 18, 201610 yr He's had limited opportunities this season but nonetheless has been pretty mediocre when he has played. Sell. Edited April 18, 201610 yr by the special one
April 19, 201610 yr His chance has probably been and gone and it's the same story as Chalobah and a few others. His record in the Championship was great and he needed to be given a shot here but it simply doesn't happen and yet another young English talent has slipped through the cracks at this club. For me it comes down to faith. Young lads are asked to put their faith in this club that we'll do best by them but we actually have to reciprocate and put some faith in them and it doesn't happen.
April 19, 201610 yr Problem with young strikers loaned out in the PL is that most teams play with one striker upfront. That makes it very difficult to get some game time in the highest league in England. I would like to see young strikers loaned out to the Championship or some foreign leagues. We have to be even more careful with the loaning out of strikers because they need to fight harder to get a chance anyway.
August 13, 20169 yr Set to join villa on loan Sadly I think that's about his level. Hopefully he does well for Robbie.
August 13, 20169 yr Sadly I think that's about his level. Hopefully he does well for Robbie. I disagree, I think he will be a very good prem player, he needs a proper chance
August 13, 20169 yr I disagree, I think he will be a very good prem player, he needs a proper chance Struggled for game time at Norwich and Palace despite both teams lacking goals. I like Bamford but personally I think he's going to carve out a career as a solid Championship striker.

January 16, 20179 yr I think he will end up begin a very decent striker and will get goals, like many things in life, it's all about timing, it hasn't worked out for Bamford since the Championship loan, and i think that is largely because he went to the wrong places on loan. I would stick a cheaky buy back clause in the contract just in case he turns out to be speical

January 16, 20179 yr £10m for a man who's been passed up by 3 Premier League clubs for not even being worthy of their subs bench is a God send. Marina and the negotiators strike again!

Harry Kane, if 32 million Soldardo hits the ground running and scores 20 + goals, you have never heard of Harry Kane, credit to poch for having the balls to understand that he had a busted flush on his hands, had serveral chelsea managers understood that, Sturridge would likely still be a Chelsea player...

Either way it's a tidy profit for a player i'd guess will be worth less than £2m in a few years. Edited January 16, 20179 yr by the special one

Sturidge would never have worked out at Chelsea no matter which manager was in situ. Sturidge has all the skills but has one major factor going against him and that is attitude. Game after game when watching him live you would see his work rate was limited & he always looked for the glory option. He was far from a team player and whilst he benefited hugely from playing along Suarez there is no coincidence whatsoever Kloop doesn't see him as a first choice starter. Bamford is an ok ish striker but lacks the strength and speed to play at the very highest level . He like many of the loanees quite simply haven't developed as hoped. The likes of Atsu, Rahman and Hector will be sold if a profit can be turned.
