Arsene Wenger was very clever. As he hasn't been relevant in about a decade now; to detract the attention away from his humiliation record against the mighty, he simply uses the gullible mouth breathing mutants in the media to cover his tracks.

I actually don't mind this as it keeps him in a job longer. With the squad and finances they have, they should be a danger to the top teams. With Wenger in charge, they will amount to nothing for eternity. Absolute diddies with no chance of winning anything major and he's to blame. Using the media is his way out and Arsenal fans are too chronically stupid to see what he's upto.

He won't be sacked. He's a media darling and doesn't demand millions to spend. His degree or whatever in economics is perfect for them. Champions league most years and top four finish etc. They'll be happy with that.

I don't know if you read the top five thread but I'm very vocal in my hatred for Piers Morgan and this next part makes me feel uneasy but he's spot on about Wenger for years. With him in charge, not only the team but the whole club are stagnating; regressing to challenging fourth position like its the Champions League final.

Wenger is useless. Absolutely useless and the longer his big French beak is left to destroy Arsenal, the better.

Personally I think the media apoplexy against Costa was risible. Alan Shearer used to do the same stuff every single game and rarely a word was said. If he gets a ban I think it's a disgrace, but, as much as I loved Mourinho's press reaction post match and agreed with it, I think he doesn't always help his player's cause, he puts the PL/FA into a corner where they have to be seen to be reacting or they look like they are being bullied by him.

Rooney is worse.

Elbows, late tackles and verbally abiding referred and assistants without any warning. He gets off with it more than any player I remember.

Although none of you will ever admit it on this forum, I know that I've stirred a lot of you, and forced you to confront certain aspects of your club, and fan base, that might be uncomfortable for you to confront / accept.

If Jose kept Remy on I reckon he would of scored in the later stages when we had our subs on the pitch and Newcastle were starting to tire.

Remy's a good goalscorer. That's it. As a lone front man he's very poor. 

 

Diego's a far better player even if he has a lot of improving to do to reach the early part of last season's level.

 

His antics last weekend didn't impress me and I hope all those congratulating him at the time are now having a serious re-think.

I thought we missed his energy ,aggression (minus the yellow card) and the ability to hold the ball on Saturday. However, complete idiotic tactic to launch long punts to Remy and hope he could win headers.

Less scratching and some goals from the guy would be great, he is getting drawn into match long disputes with defenders, and forgetting what we pay him for.
